Question, is there any way to change the font in this game? While the translation itself looks pretty good, the kerning/font/spacing/whatever is pretty bad it seems.

Although not great, it seems using half-width alphanumeric improves the readability by quite a bit.

I'm just about to download this VN, but I have two technical question about it.

Given the file name for the English patch, Cannonball_Installer_Patch_1_0.exe, does this just install the patch on top of an existing installation of the game, or does this patch actually install the game as well, like with the Sengoku Rance English patch?

Does this game require Japanese Local setting, or can I use the English Local setting with out appLocal?

I can answer the first question.

The installer is required to install the game with the DISK files. Just plunk the installer into the same folder where the DISK files are and run it. Remember to mount the files when being asked.

for second question, the TLor said you can play it both in English Local or Japanese, but he recommend to play it with Japanese Local since the font will look screwed up with English Local

As far as I can tell with minimal testing, you can install and play the game if you're not in the Japanese locale in Windows, but the font will look screwed up, so I highly recommend you run it in the Japanese locale, as is usual for Japanese games.
