SHIN KOIHIME! FINALLY! Anyway, glad Majikoi didn't get taken off the list in hopes of a revival :) Thank you for helping me keep my hopes up, means a lot :D

But on another note, am desperately waiting for Walkure and Cou... just finished Walkure anime, and although the anime itself wasn't fantastic, I think the game will blow it out of the water. Oh, and glad to hear that Akame ga Kil is getting an anime this year... probably in the summer from what I can tell (It's a manga though, not a game from my knowledge...)

Finally Shin Koihime, hope it will turn out well, but from what I read in FuwaNovel forum, they said they will definitely get this done, hmm..

Akame ga Kill this year? really? from what I know, the time not yet announced.. well I think probably this fall this year or winter next year, and it's manga indeed..

Fairly sure it's going to be this year. Unlike a lot of people, I read and watch the stuff put out by the producers, even to the point of keeping up to date with their economics and spending. It's easy to predict what gets funded where if you just watch who pays who, and then you just look at the projects they have in common. For example, the original concept artist for a manga gets hired by an animation company to help work on a single project approximately a year and a half after the manga has been released. Look at how much he's being paid, and see what the size of the team he is working on. Then look at the funding the project has, and you can draw conclusions from there. They can be fairly accurate, if I had to give it a number I'd say usually about 70% so.

You sure that the Koihime project is not a troll? It seems kind of insane to me. Like, Fuwa wants to TL koihime (lol) -> they contact MG and get approval -> suddenly MG is negotiating or some shit with BaseSon.

Bonus: Shin Koihime Musou Translation Project - Page 3 - Fan Translation Discussion, Volunteer Talk - Fuwanovel

Guess someone needs to just ask Doddler if this is legit or not.

Coμ - Kuroi Ryuu to Yasashii Oukoku - 38114/51433 (74.1%) lines translated

Koiken Otome - 64.54% translated, 26.47% edited

KuruKuru Fanatic - 66.5% translated

Good to see some progress on Comyu and Kurukuru. I'm pretty hyped for yandere heroines, and that last route on comyu gotta be awesome anyways.

Koiken Otome is pretty good as well, and I would also be hyped for it (it has Coodere power) if I hadn't already read it...

Fortune Arterial - Prologue completely translated, patches for Shiro, Kiriha and Kanade routes released. Erika route 65% done. Haruna route 80% done.

Hatsuyuki Sakura - 10.81% translated

Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate - 325/397 files translated, 181/397 files edited, Common/Chisato/Satsuki routes fully translated

Little Busters EX - Kanata route first pass edited. Saya route ~30% translated

Tenshin Ranman - Prologue patch released, 1829.2/4560 (40.1%) translated

Seinarukana - Mostly translated

Though we must not forget all the great projects out there, that weren't able to be honored with an update this week.

(I've already read Hatsuyuki Sakura as well and am therefore not that much hyped for an update on it, but it clearly belongs to the "great vn" section)

On a side note, I didn't know that the Tenshin Ranman project was still alive and kicking. Yay! Rejoice! A deity loli!

dunno if its legit or not, I too pretty doubtful about it..

but, here some of explanation from them in MangaGamers forum.. and they even created Facebook Page

so maybe we can consider it as legit.. probably

I'm confused here, last week : Koiken Otome - 76.09% translated, 32.90% edited, This week : Koiken Otome - 64.54% translated, 26.47% edited, did they like lose progress or something?

It's not waiting on AIR anymore, Sheeta finished editing it a month a ago.

The guy who leads the project actually is doing QC for AIR, so might be safe to say that they're waiting on it.

Shin Koihime TL project?

I will get my hope up when the patch already landed here.

But to thinks that MG is actually give them A-O-K is kind of fishy imo

May be MG actually do since TL will be done for free all they have to pay is the license to Baseson

Or it could be just a lie to lure in Translators to join them

As far as I knew there is no proof of either way.

let see if the MG stuff blog will mention anything.

Oh well Good luck to them I guess

...

You mean a bad machine translation.

If you want to know the quality of text translation you can always just check the youtube channel. I'm the only translator of that project right now and... I can't say I'm confident, but I'm trying to maintain an official level of quality. Though I will agree that I'm having doubts about that being legit myself, since there was still no public announcements from Mangagamer.

That's kind of the issue tbh. The whole idea was that MG gave a permission an IP that they don't own, which is kind of funny to me. Of course they won't make any announcements because they can't give direct permissions to something they don't own. The only way I see how this "went down" is that someone from MG told that project leader of yours that if you manage to TL the game, they will make a deal with you / buy the script and try to get it licensed that way. In turn, they won't just C&D your project because of the possible licensing, like they did with DCIII. That's at least what I think. Imagine MG going to meeting with BaseSon and say "oh yeah btw, we gave permission to some guys to TL your game".
