LOG

To Heart 2 had an update a couple of weeks back, but it seems like /jp/ overlooked this. I was curious and just happened to see it.

Violet Hill changed to Violeta Hill. The team has been hard at work at revamping the promising project with some of the feedback they received

Dysfunctional Systems removed from kickstarter list

Instead of removing Mahoyo for not having any official updates for at least a year, I just mentioned that they apparently found an editor to work on it (as herkz mentioned a couple of days ago).

Yoakemae project is pretty much at a standstill right now. Erengy mentioned that there won't be updates for a while. He received Tl'ed images a few days ago.. will keep it up for now with this update.

Removed Princess Maker 5 for now for not having updates in over a year

I removed Hatsuyuki Sakura, sadly.. last tweet from translator was 10 months ago.

I removed Haruka na Sora for now.. it's a low priority project for the group that is currently doing Yosuga no Sora and it hasn't been updated in a year

Removed Sonohana projects for now (until there is progress of course).. sorry yuri fans

    Removed Muv-luv listings for now

I won't touch official projects even though some haven't been updated in a long time... yes, Jast gets a pass

Added Echo Tokyo (thanks Pasa) to kickstarter list

No hyro was harmed in making this thread

I have news! After mangagamer licensed the WaB series, Ixrec's planned translation projects after Rewrite HF got cancelled. Thus, he's considering translating Baldr Sky after hf! Everyone, go to twitter and give him encouragement!

Sorry, man.. you're a little late to the party... this was known for a few weeks now : P He is considering sky, but I doubt a bunch of people spamming his twitter/forum will make him sway one way or another. It is ultimately his decision.

So finally I can find an install button on my eden steam page? Sweet mother of Jesus, those are really good news.

Edit: Damn it, I thought I made a snatch back then when they unlocked the eden steam shop page by accident but apparently they're selling the game for 10€ anyway

Scared the shit out of me. When I glanced over your post, I thought you wrote that Rewrite HF got cancelled.

From last week's thread:

Now they lost the translation...

I really want to believe that project is true, but their problems seem way to convenient to me.

When they were near finishing all translation and editing, the guy who was supposed to do the patch was too busy with the holiday, once holiday was done they weren't able to contact that guy anymore, so they "hired" a bunch of peoples to make the patch in his place, but for some reason all of them needed weeks to do something lot of peoples are able to do in a few hours and now he lose all the translation.

So many peoples want to see a complete patch so much, that they prefer to think it's cursed rather than thinking it is all elaborated bullshit.

They did not lose the translation. They lost the QC efforts in one route. It has been set back by a few weeks, unfortunately. The translations exist, they're on youtube, they're on the hard drives of many contributors, they've been seen in many screenshots. It's stupid that the QCer didn't have any backups of his work, and the patching process they're employing is bizarre, but whatever. Part of the reason for the weird patching process is because it's being taken from a youtube translation and then edited outside of the game's script files. They have to come up with their own custom solutions in order to adapt the outside translation to the game files. They certainly could have found a more efficient method, I'm sure, but it's not like a standard translation where they extract the scripts, edit them, and repack.

Anyways, point being, it's real, you'll just have to deal with some of the stupid nonsense along the way before you can get your hands on it.

Yeah i saw that soon after i posted, but they locked the thread soon after i posted that so i wasn't able to edit.

Still, i really hope it's real and they are just unlucky.

I saw too many similar things of peoples saying they were working on something and than later after giving reason after reason for delaying the project, they disappear or outright tell it was all bullshit, that now i can't help but doubt when i see thing like that happening.

That guy took on two projects at once and barely worked on any of them. I'm more bummed out by the lack of Flyable Hearts being translated.

Maybe some day it will get something other than that god awful machine translation.

Nothing in the last few months, but he had to go back and redo a lot of the script. Hopefully he'll have more news soon.

Something that was missed this week was that Kikokugai's remake received a translation patch a few days ago. Someone took the existing Makoto translation and applied it to the new version of the game with redone art. It should also work on all modern systems hassle-free.

I really need to break my self-imposed rule of "no short VNs" (2 -10 hours), I'm probably missing out on some good stories - the length just bums me out though.

They're typically as long as a medium length VN's common route + heroine route. Basically, they're as long as one complete story in a typical VN. Thinking about it like that, it's not so bad. Saya no Uta is easily one of the best VNs translated to english so that's a good place to start.

I can't remember if you've mentioned it at some point or not on the forum, but if you've read and loved Higurashi and/or Umineko, then seriously go check out Higanbana sometime. It is short, but you'd be surprised by how much the story and atmosphere in it grabs you. I expected something good out of it myself since I really like Ryukishi's style, but it was actually quite a lot better than expected... only finished the first part though.

so,about eden.Should I get the 18+ version or does the All-ages version has something else besides removing sex?

Get the all-ages version. Only thing 18+ has is the tacked on h-scenes which don't actually appear in the story and a few CGs are edited to be more mature, that's about it. If you don't want h-scenes, you won't miss anything by playing the all-ages version.
