Go vote on this for Steam Greenlight: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=411184279

(Myth on VNDB)

I remember checking it out some year(s) ago and putting it on my wishlist on VNDB. Seems to be something really good (just look at the tags - Mind Screw, Mystery, Alternate Dimensions, Existential Crisis, etc.), and now all of a sudden it's on friggin' Greenlight. So yea, vote on it.

It's a vote to get the game on Steam. That means it's not going to be in Japanese. It'll get a translation.

The terribly translated description doesn't exactly fill one with confidence.

Wow, you're right, I didn't even read it on Steam. Hmm, curious. I hope they don't think they can get away with just any throwaway English for the actual game...... :S

It seems they are currently only interested in releasing a Japanese version if it gets greenlit. It being on Steam does not automatically mean it will be in English. But of course as soon as people from SP and MG saw this they jumped at the opportunity. So who knows what will happen.

Really? Well that would literally be the first time I ever saw or heard about a Japanese-only game on Steam then.

I've seen it for chinese games before. As an example, here's a chinese version of Nobunaga's Ambition: http://store.steampowered.com/app/292990/

I seem to remember one or two Japanese-only games as well but I can't recall them off the top of my head. Anyways, my point is, it's possible.

Startet playing Majikoi yesterday -from the beginning since I lost my safegames years ago- aaand .... seems they didn't do much qc'ing.

At least not for the parts Wairu translated. Lots of typos, missing words and repeating spelling errors.

It's not a big problem, but I find it a bit disappointing.

So many people were waiting for this release -patiently- and apparently they didn't even bother checking the patch as a whole.

Translate the remaining lines and shove it out the door. I know this sounds ungratefull, but I just can't really understand that attitude.

Compared to the amount of work that went into the translation itself a final qc pass is nothing, but it makes the difference between something readable and a good tl.

Well, whatever. It's finally out and I know what I'll be reading tonight^^.

.

*You mean Yandere, right? and yeah, you don't normally meddle with another person's tranlsation without permission, right? Team

yandere has been unreachable for a while, so their part of the translation is not something we could change without permission.

*Check your own grammar before accusing people of bad QC.

*Yes, bolded that for you. It is an ungrateful attitude and this kind of behaviour is what turns off any new translation projects. Translating things for free so we get a bunch of ungrateful banter is not worth it.

*Maybe you should start your own TL project and see how easy it is.

General note for the grateful people: We are working on v2.0 of the tl patch, with fixes and updated decensor. ;)

Strange, I tend to notice that kind of stuff but never saw anything that really stood out in Yandere's work, other then the odd typo... am I using a different patch from you? (Yandere's final patch was the Wanko patch)

Don't sweat it Helve, haters always gonna hate, Dies irae could get translated and someone would still find something to bitch about it. :p

S is pretty porn heavy, you got your uncensoring work cut out for you, heh.

Funny, people complaining about fan translation with a few spelling errors and typos. Get over yourself. I didn't even notice any of them, since my reading skill is good enough that I automatically correct it in my mind and keep on going. Must be one of those type of insufferable people who enjoy correcting someone when they say Who instead of Whom.

Koichoco update: Source

It’s time for a March update, with some room for a few small staff role changes this time. Agent Lee has picked up and completed editing for the last portion of Michiru’s route, taking over from eltony who in turn will assist with TLC/QC for the files in question.

Apart from that there are no other changes to report. Editing has moved roughly 25 files ahead this month while QC finished 1 route and now moved on to the next. You can find the complete list below.

Status:

Common/Chisato: 18398/18398

Satsuki: 8334/8334

Michiru: 6547/6547

Isara: 5919/5919

Mifuyu: 5425/5425

Translation: 397/397 files

Editing: 369/397 files

QC: 217/397 files

MGQ Paradox update HERE

This weekend: patch for all demo content, all or mostly all items, skills, and other gameplay-related text.

Prior to Memorial Day (US) (let’s say May 20): patch for the Ilias Continent. All story and quests translated up to leaving the continent, as many H-scenes as we can manage for the monsters found there. Hopefully a good chunk of miscellaneous text too, but we likely won’t get to stuff like encyclopedia entries by this date. Rest assured that everything in the game will be translated eventually. Fully 100%, not “Dargoth 100%.”

That’s the plan for now!

I also finished Majikoi and I didnt have any problems with it. I might have gotten used to mistakes from all those fanfics I read but its still strange that I didnt notice those errors. Translation is fine dont worry Helvetica and keep up this level for future releases.

some people really don't know how to be contented on something they got for free... *sigh*

I haven't checked majikoi since I can't find my old saves (probably misplaced or deleted by someone),

were all H-scenes uncensored by the patch??? or not all of them (is that why you're going to do an update?)???

well, I guess I'll have to repeat it from scratch, I haven't gone through other side routes anyway (specially that one with the blocking skill, WTF)...

all in all, thanks
