I played the prequel before reading Dante's Inferno so I didn't quiet get the reference. Now the sequel seems to be about Purgatorio and I haven't read that... Most crimes done in KnS1 are direct references to an in-game novel titled "The Egg of Neanis", in which the story takes inspirations from La Divina Comedia. That's why you see the head-twisted corpse and the buried corpse in the KnS1... Both are Dante Alighieri's representation of Fraud sinners involving religious matters...
