Calm before storm. December is usually the busiest period release-wise. Last year I was posting new game pretty much every other day for entire month.

It would be nice if grisaia no meikyuu and da capo 3 was among them, It has been years since the work started on those and we still don't have any release date.

How do you know that? I'm pretty sure I stalk doddler and mangagamer team twitter with regularity I even read their blog from time to time and I didn't see anything about it except for being in beta testing.

Based on MG release patterns all December released dates are already taken by other titles.

Speaking of Denwalts, looking at his previous projects I'm not sure that I could expect something good from him because both of his projects beforehand was quite mediocre to some people there (One was cancelled though). His portfolio right now was only Koi Iru Chuu Lips, which only scored average 6.2 back at VNDB. Although if we wishing hard enough maybe we could get something like Sakura no Uta perhaps (Impossible I knew). Well, let's just see it later.

As for December, other than Himawari there's also Sono Hanabira and Rance if we talk about official release. And perhaps there will be some surprise release at Christmas. And looking at Sekai if one want to be hopeful it'll be Saku Saku there. No much I could said here, although perhaps I could expect Mangagamer release Suki Suki in near future.

Oh, before forgot I would like to request to add Bishoujo Mangekyou translation projects to the list. There's two projects now and you could see the progress from the translation site. Hope it'll be added next week.

PS - To response Infernoplex here, yes I'm also here. I still lurked on this site though sometimes even if I rarely commented here, and by the way this is the first site that I visit in regard of weekly VN Translation Status since back at 2012 (Never imagine back there I'm gonna one of the people who will write weekly VN Translation updates). And nice to meet you too here by the way (I sort of want to respond back at Himatsubushi request thread, but it was locked now).

Well, I am not really expecting anything that major from him (definitively no way Sakura no Uta will ever happen, that's only in our fantasies xD) but I do expect a title that has something to read (49340 lines ain't a short title, that's for sure :D) ... I am expecting something of that size to come out ... And I like surprises, I know whatever it is that I am definitively going to read it anyways :D ...

Yeah, thank you for responding :D When Ivan fulfills requests he locks threads so you cannot respond there, anyways it's good to have you here too, I was also a lurker for some time before coming to this forum :) It's true for other VN places too :D

Yeah, I definitely understand your frustration, we were just as disheartened about AliveZ, but it was also encouraging to see AliceSoft actually reaching out to the West of their own accord. I sincerely hope their partnership with MangaGamer goes well, and we made sure to keep the script just in case anything new develops. While DSP#3 isn't Sakura no Uta, it is a title of more renown; it's quite a challenge to identify a profile picture that won't immediately spoil the game. We've been taking a more cautious approach so another cancellation/suspension doesn't happen, especially with the advent of companies buying up fan TLs just before release.

I'm glad to say I haven't seen any indications of a parallel project, so all lights are still green for December.

Koiiro itself was mostly a test-run and a promise, we wanted to try doing a release once to flush out any issues before hitting a more significant release like DSP#3. Hopefully we've worked out the kinks, and definitely appreciate feedback as our primary way to highlight any gaps.

Glad to hear it! It certainly isn't a short title (it's ~15 words to a line), so it should be a good chunk of meat. The best hint I can probably give now is that it was one of the 'cursed' titles, a VN which has seen a few failed attempts. We started fresh of course, but it's probably a title you've heard of before.

I didn't expect that my post will be seen by the translator himself otherwise I would have given you more praise :D Thank you for your efforts, I have no clue which title you are speaking of because I don't have a list of 'cursed' titles so I have no way to guess what it is xD I don't even want to know until the release day but whatever it is, I will read it for sure ^_^ ... As for "heard before" - I know a tons of good untranslated VNs out there so I probably have heard of that title you translated too :D Congratulations on finishing of a 'cursed' title and breaking its curse ^_^ ...

I think Akai Ito was impossible for the secret project because it was on PS2 console (Although there's still some possibility though, even if it's very small) and most importantly according to TL Wiki Akai Ito was only had around 21,000 lines (The secret project was at least around 49,000 lines). Also the translator himself already saying it was no yuri. By the way, I'd already read Denwalts post there and maybe there will be something that was worth the waiting there. Although I'm still wait and see here though. Good luck nonetheless if you read this.

For Bishoujo Mangekyou, while the first project was like that, I would like to believe that Arcadeotic's was kind of improving so much that he also using Japanese version as comparison in one of his post back at Fuwanovel. So I think it's worth to add here. And his another project was translated directly from Japan, so there will be no translation of the translation case like the first project. Hope you'll add those two here, soon or later.

https://denpasoft.com/shop/muv-luv-directors-cut-patch/

Muv-Luv "Directors Cut" patch is out on Denpasoft, restores the adult scenes from the previous (Steam?) release of the game.

Restores does not mean uncensored though, it's still using mosaic but they're no longer completely cut out of the game.

Specifications:

Scenes with adult-oriented content

Restored CGs with more details

With Mosaics
