Humanity has begun launching probes to near-Earth planets in an attempt to search for traces of extraterrestrial life.
At this time, humanity has not yet formed a unified global defense system, creating a vulnerability for future alien invasions. Women occupy a vital position in society, participating extensively in technological research, government administration, and basic production, even dominating in some areas (such as biotechnology and interstellar exploration).
