Ethel Briggs is a shy, self-conscious girl in her final year of university. Though she should be working on her thesis about Romantic poetry, her well of inspiration has run dry. A cross-country drive is interrupted by a mysterious oncoming vehicle, landing the player in the nearby hospital of Porte Avant. After the nurse gives him a little more “intensive care” than expected, the player is released and allowed to explore the strange town. With his car awaiting repairs, there's nothing to do but kill some time. What better way than to explore this peculiar town and carouse with the residents?
 
What comes next is up to the player. This “choose-your-own-adventure” style game features a gaggle of different endings, scintillating animated scenes, achievements, mini-games, and more! There are even rumors of a so-called “perfect ending”... But can you unlock it?
