A group of mercenaries belonging to the main character (player) visits a certain town with a request to obtain the fruit of the sacred tree.
However, it seems that in order to sell the fruit, they have to make a name for themselves by helping the townspeople in need.
Furthermore, the leader of the group says that the acquisition of the fruit will also serve as an examination for the protagonist to become the deputy leader of the group…

18 years ago, Cardinal Gilbert was punished by the archbishop for committing a mistake in the capital's archdiocese. He was demoted to the remote seaside town of Kynaston, where he would succeed the deceased ex-bishop and govern for 20 years.

Time passed by quickly, and Kynaston became a prosperous commercial town. The daughter he had adopted also celebrated her 18th birthday.

The protagonist, Atla, is rescued after collapsing in a dungeon, and awakens in a rundown church in town. Perhaps as a result of her resurrection, or maybe another cause, she has lost all memories from before she was revived. Searching for clues to her forgotten past, she once again steps into the ruins of Dungeon Roseford…
