I've posted this problem in the comments for Higanbana, but it applies to this too and it's probably more likely to be read and answered here. Whenever I try to save the game it comes up with an error message.

Error Message Generator :: I/O Error

the message looks like the example on that page. (I don't know how to post screenshots so I went to an error message generator) If you can't be bothered to look at it the message reads: Title = I/O Error

Message = can't open 'gloval.sav' for saving

Change the title of the folder your extracting the file in. Sometimes there's a unique symbol that the winzip cannot extract in the title
