Ef - Series

I'm kinda confused about the Ef series.

 

What's "ef - a fairy tale of the two." relationship to "Ef - a Tale of Melodies." and "Ef - a Tale of Memories."

Ef a tale of memories is about the first 3 chapters and Ef a tale of melodies is about the last 3. I would recommend on playing the VN first if you haven't, but as far as the anime is concerned it's memories --> melodies.

 

Or if you want to look at it in another way, Ef the first tale = memories and Ef the last tale = melodies. But Ef A Fairy Tale of the two includes both, which the anime covers.
