Indeed, i would advise using this method for simpler eroges that don't focus too much on story or character development. The eroge you are interested in seems, from what i understand, to have a complicated story with lots of information so you may have a hard time deciphering the actual meaning of the translation. There are sites which can let you know if a translation is taking place. VNTL Status Tracker which lets you know about new projects and the progress of the projects. VNDB, a VN database which shows you a comprehensive list of visual novels and also lets you know if an english patch is available or in progress of a certain VN, and our very own VN translation status updated weekly on the forum.
