Visual Novels Translation Status [28/10/2018]
leonzell replied to littleshogun's topic in Eroge News
thats a lot of new projects O.O..... nice -
That sounds really shitty. on another note, does anyone know where i can download the DX 18+ version of Dies Irae?
-
you know, i completely forgot that there was the little busters translation. it had been years since i last saw it mentioned (in the threads i've been seeing) and i played the base translation so the thought of it never popped into my mind.

in about 30 years its predicted for the technological singularity to happen, hopefully it will develop an AI that is obsessed with Visual novels and will translate for us instead of sending nukes around the world and creating robots to destroy humanity (skynet) lets hope for Moenet.

when it comes to flyable heart, i think at first they were using MTL then editing, however i think they got bored and stopped editing it and just pasted the TL in. cause the beginning isn't too bad. but the further you get in it just gets worse and worse, though i wish someone would do a good TL of flyable hearts. though the translation was horrible it was one of my favourite VN's to read at the time.

on the VN are always better than the anime, i for the most part agree. however the reason i'm wavering is utawarerumono (the original) is one of the few exceptions. while the VN has a bit more than the anime the storytelling in it makes it seems like there were alot of events happening between what we see in each selectable scene. while the anime tells the entire story in a well paced manner. (though i do admit that there are still aspects of the VN that makes me want to replay it rather than watch it).

does anyone know if it is worth downloading utawarerumono itsuwari no kamen? i watched the anime and i know that there is generally alot missing from anime adaptions of VN's but the original utawarerumono anime had almost all of the important details for the story. plus its expensive, so if it isn't going to add much, then i would prefer to save up for futari no hakuoro in a few months.

Da Capo 3 DEMO!!!! so close. its too bad i will be away until February, so i won't be able to play it as soon as it comes out.
-
I am surprised no one mentioned the 11 eyes patch, for me it came right out of nowhere. i remember seeing it have some group translating it some years back, but i never expected it to actually be completed.
-
well, at least they are releasing it, its been so long its felt like they were postponing even the translation for other projects.
-
THE WAIT IS OVER!!! the wait was long, but i'm sure it was worth it.
-
anyone know when the last time Rewrite harvest was updated, i completely forgot about the fandisk being translated until i saw the picture at the top. also seems to be about time to re-read it.
-
going quite a bit off topic, what is everyone's opinion on RPG's ( as in classical ones without (or with very little) VA) considering other than the fact that you travel in an overworld and control where you go, the general structure is similiar to a gameplay VN as in story driven with gameplay, i'm bringing this up since FF9 just got released on steam and its one of my favorite.
-
though its nice that the novels we loved reading years ago are getting wider attention and becoming more easily (and legaly) available, though i would like it more if they had more of a focus on getting new novels translated instead of taking other patches that already exist and making it official.
