try these steps (taken from hitomi my stepsister at erogedownload)
* After extracting the zip files and mounting them using Daemon Tools and installing the game, find the folder where it was installed on your harddrive
* Drag the folder with the ISO’s & the crack folder (it should have been created when you extracted the zip files) and put it in the harddrive folder.
* Cut and paste the cracked version (should be an EXE file of the same name –
* When it asks if you want to replace the old EXE file with the cracked one, REPLACE IT. If you don’t, Virtual-Mate will keep fucking it up and you won’t be able to play it.

just download the english patch then extract all files into your game folder (overwrite them if ask) and play the game with mon_que.exe

haven't play untranslated majikoi before so i can't give you exact answer, but if you're afraid of losing your save game files then just make a back up of it
it should be on majikoi folder with japs name like this みなとそふと
translation progress:
majikoi
Translates: Prologue, Chris route, Momoyo (+afterstory), Yukie route (+afterstory), Wanko route, teacher side route, tutorials, end-game skits, staff room, going home option in the character select screen, images, most of the system messages
Miyako route 50% translated.

i doubt you can learn japs perfectly in 1 year tho
but you can learn some basic in 1 year
even those professional translators out there need many years to master japs language

the one from erogedownload covered everything, fate/stay night + realta nua with english translation
you don't need to install patch anymore, just extract and play

don't try to create folder manually, game might not recognize your save file if you do that
just put the save file at that folder when you save directly from game
have you try this:
run program as administrator?
try install at at different pc?
if you try to reinstall i suggest using program like Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems to completely delete any leftover files, restart your pc and try reinstalling

And here's quick question from me. I just started playing Maijkoi but it doesn't let me save my progress. There was no problems with installation, patching, and translation. It doesn't show any errors, only when i try to save it's normally saving but after that data is completly empty (there's is no picture or information about save in that slot, only "New" next to it, and i can't load it). Also it can't save even configuration settings, looks like game just can't create save folder. Any ideas why?
don't save via quick save (panel at right side), many people have problem with this
try to save manually e.g slot 1, slot 2 etc then load your game fro that save file
make sure that save file exist in jap folder at my document if it's not then file may not save properly
or go to my document and delete that jap files then try reinstall game

from what i see at the replay section it has around 41 scenes and that includes few ordinary scenes(non h-scenes)

imagine an anime added with choices and you get the picture
warning: many bugs and i dunno if the newest patch fixed them (i never encounter any bug in SDHQ)
game is pretty fucked up both in story and character, only good for fapping......

i just reply someone else answer from erogedownload (i'm being a lazy bum to write my own answer right now >.>)
For all of you that got the GGD problem:
(Sorry if this sounds patronizing). I got the same problem and tried everything to solve it. But, just in case, could it be possible that you didn´t “Explore” your mounted disk, copied and extracted all the files in your game folder before putting the crack.? This may sound stupid, but I didn’t read the part that said to copy the files, and even then had to redownload the crack because I didn’t know the crack had been replaced.
