Random topic transition: how hard is it to learn english if it isn't your first language? I'm a native english speaker, so I never had to learn it (obviously). The only confusing things I can think of are contractions (like you're, don't, I'm, etc) and words like knife or knight that start with a k but sound like they start with an n.

Speaking from personal experience, i learned English by playing tons of videogames and reading lots of books (about videogames) while having a dictionary at hand.

It took me around 3-4 years to be able to read an entire book without needing to resort to a dictionary, and that was when i was 12 or something. Honestly, when people ask me how did learn English so easily, i tell them that it wasn't easy. But i kept at it because i was having fun reading things like "Earthbound" or some Asimov book.

IMO, when learning a new language, the most important thing is motivation. I found mine in videogames and Sci-Fi novels.

A few months ago i found my motivation to learn Japanese in Jun Maeda and Romeo Tanaka novels. Of course, that was just a few months ago so i'll get back to you about Japanese in a few years...

BTW, Spanish is my first language just FYI.

I voted for sad/dark endings, but i'm actually ok with happy endings as long as the game makes you feel like you actually had to work hard to get it.

When a happy ending comes out of nowhere i just feel like "Meh"

I'd like to cite some examples but there's no spoiler tags and i'm too lazy to use white text.

On second thought, i'm gonna do it anyway.

Sad endings i liked: Muv-Luv Alternative and Cross†Channel.

Happy endings i liked: Little Busters! Refrain and Ever 17 Coco's route.

Chaos;Head. Got sick of waiting for an official port that's never gonna come.

All in all, a messed up game with a messed up protagonist. But i don't regret playing it at all.

The most enjoyable part about it, IMO, was the character development of the protag (ALMOST as good as Muv-Luv Alternative).

I never really take screenshots when i play VNs but last month i though i should try to while playing Chaos;Head. Unfortunately i was so focused on the story that i forgot

But anyway, now i'm playing Steins;Gate and i didn't forget to take some:

Note: ANYTHING both Okabe Rintarou and Mayuri say is ten times funnier if you can actually hear their voices.

I'll be honest, she scared the crap outta me the first time she said this (If you haven't played this game, you can basically check your cellphone at almost anytime. But apparently Cristina doesn't like being ignored).
