  1. You guys should just get over with it. I don't like this move by moenovel, but what can you do? Mangagamer already gave them some ideas on how to approach to the market.

Because pulltop is the parent company and pulltop doesn't have any all ages novels that I know of. What kills me though is why didn't they just make 2 versions. I don't think it would of been that much more time consuming. Then everyone would of been happy. I like to buy games and I would of bought it in a heartbeat if it were uncensored. I wouldn't of even cared if they censored the just the sex part. They could of showed them disappearing behind closed doors, or did like a PG movie and showed them under the covers. I don't have to see the actual H-scene, I just like to know that the characters did it. It adds a bit more realism because frankly, that's what high school kids do, at least the attractive ones anyway. I'm way out of high school, but I had lots of fun when I was there. Hell, you can see kiss scenes in rated G movies. Pulltop may be under the wrong impression of the west. Maybe they think we are offended by kisses and stuff.

  2. i think the Mashiro Iro Symphony PC version doesn't have a route for Sana (the girl with the red hair) and beside i think it will took a few years for the translate.

Yeah, that was a little disappointing to learn because she played a large role in the Anime, but she is only a side character in the VN. Speak of the Anime, I really enjoyed it. It's not often that an Anime like this actually ends with the protagonist making a decision and ending up with one of the girls. Not only that, it was a bit of a surprise after the bathtub scene in the earlier episodes.

  3. There are a lot of things in visual novels that I hate, but the number 1 pet peeve of mine is the average male protagonist. The leading male is usually a pure and unrealistically super nice guy that always does the right thing. No matter what the female characters do to him, he always forgives them without question. It's common for the leading male to allow himself to be used and abused by the female characters and never get angry about it. In games such as Da capo this trait is so bad that it makes me want to puke. In real life, a guy like this would never be popular among girls. No one wants to be with someone you can constantly walk all over without any repercussions.

  4. First I want to say that even though I am a software thief, I bought School Days Collectors edition because I wanted the free goodies and I was looking forward to the game and I also bought EF as to encourage these 2 companies to keep producing decent titles. I have also also downloaded and played many more without ever paying a dime. I don't know why I felt the need to say this, but I did. Now to the reason for my post.

That being said, What is up with Mangagamer picking out all these bargain bin type games to produce to English. Before sexy demon transformation was released, I checked it out on VNDB and some Japanese sites as well. It's a low rated game that sells for about $20.00 in Japan. It seems to be the same situation with Boob wars too. Mangagamer knows these games are weak before they translate them, but they produce English scripts for them anyway.

They probably got a great deal on the Softhouse-Seal stuff, but why not spend their time and effort pursuing better visual novels. It's not like there's a shortage of untranslated visual novels out there. Japan is full of smaller companies writing quality visual novels.

There are so many visual novels I would like to see translated into English, but the softhouse novels I can live without.

What do you guys think about some of Mangagamer's choices?

I know someone will post a reply saying if you don't like them you don't have to read them.

  5. There is no real main heroine in Majikoi.

I guess the ones that are the main focus of it are Monshiro and Tsubame, since they are the newest heroines with the longest routes.

Pretty much every new girl gets a small route, side characters get a super small route (Pretty much just a h-scene), and the girls from the first game get a few extra h-scenes.

I never played either game. I have been waiting on the translation to the 1st game to finish, but it seems to be on hold for now. I did watch the Anime and I thought it was awful. It was a little frustrating. I always figured that the big tall girl was the main heroine since she was the one he was in love with in the Anime.

He confessed to her and she shot him down and then at the end of the Anime she seemed to have a change of heart but he didn't seem to want her anymore. I just thought "how flaky?"

Everyone seems crazy about the game so I downloaded it and I'm gona try out the translated portion. I'm reallty looking forward to Shinigami no Kiss, Yosuga no sora, and FA to being finished. I've always wanted to play sora ever since the Anime. That was one that I really liked. I even read the manga.

  6. Hoho, I can't wait to see the Rewrite ending~~~ x)

I've only been playing visual novels for about 3 or 4 months now and so far the ones I have played so far (except for a few English freeware short novels) all have H scenes. H scenes don't really turn me on or anything, but I like the fact of knowing that the characters have had sex, to me it makes the story more real. I know when I was 14,15 and 16, I thought of nothing else. But I would be just as happy if they had a scene where they were under the covers and you couldn't see anything, or even if they were behind a closed door.

So what I want to know is, how does a all ages visual novel like rewrite work? Does it still have romance? Is it like anime romance where you can't even tell their a couple? Or do they have under the cover scenes? I just want to know before I give one a try.

I read a romance manga the other day and they couple started dating in the 1st volume. At the very end of the final volume they had been going out for 2 years now and they finally decided to have their 1st kiss after dating for 2 years. I just thought bullshit, there not that reserved in Japan.
