  1. JastUSA, I think those are the primary two in the US and then there's Denpansoft with a few 18+ versions of games that are primarily sold via Steam.

Some of the Steam VN's have optional 18 "restoration" patches too, part of the Sakura games for example.

(Though these are developed from a variety of smaller teams so quality can be all over the place, although I guess the same can be said for some of Jasts earlier releases and Mangagamers "quality" translations for their first two years or so.)

EDIT: Frontwing has a couple of licensed games via I guess Kickstarter but they tend to strip out he 18+ content or just localize a existing all-ages version of the game.

    Steam Search

(SekaiProject and MoeNovel from my understanding also does the same.)

EDIT: Actually the Steam VN tag might be better for a more complete overview although there's a couple of not-quite-VN games listed too.

You should avoid buying from Sekai and Denpasoft, they are bad companies. The rest of the list is fine.

  2. Nonsense, Denpasoft (SPs' other half) would not exist if that was the case. He's basically catering to the all-age majority through SP, and quietly caters to the rest of us through Denpasoft. There are many titles that have a +18 alternative through Denpasoft, or sometimes a patch offered by the devs themselves. (assuming the dev wants a +18 release)

He openly talked about his dislike of 18 + and the fans that demand it on the Sekai Discord.

  3. I wouldent hold my breathe, the guy was asking "Does this include the R18 content?" for the Steam release. Which obviously is'nt about to show penetration/vag/dicks. Might still be a chance it's just a miscommunication.

Sekai CEO is heavily against sex so the only chance for a 18 + version is if Giga actually forces them to do it.

  4. ;78036']Does anyone have a comprehensive list of differences (aside from sexual content, obviously) between original and Vita releases of Kajitsu? I mean i know there are few new CGs, but is that it? Was there any dialogs cut/watered down/added? All i found on net is people telling "there is new content and CGs", without explaining what this content actually is :C

Would be also nice to know how bad was Meikyuu watered down (which is out with 20% discount, btw).

As I said above the jokes and probably other dialogue too is censored. Even Sekai staff is saying that if you want the most complete version you should wait for 18+.

  5. Do we really have to ask this about every Steam release? Don't you know the Steam rules by now? Pornographic content isn't allowed on Steam.

The Labyrinth release is a port of the Vita version, and seems incorporate the changes Frontwing made to release it on the Vita exactly.

18+ version is being officially released later. Like a month or more later. In the time it will take you to make a restoration patch, it will already be done by SP.

Gahkthun says hi, also they should have released the 18 + version at the same time instead of sitting on it and then claiming that 18 + doesn't sell cause people dont wont to buy the same game 2 times.

  6. Well, yea, but honestly, I never expect anything from these games at the level of a Fate/Stay or a Muv-Luv, it's usually just the generic stuff, and that's fine, I love me some junk food, that makes that perfectly cooked stake with a nice jacket potato on the side and the cold cold beer just that much delicious when I have it. Gotta say, still remember when I finished that first part of Muv-Luv, the pure junk food that it was, my mind exploded on the second and third part.

Fate/stay night is the most overrated VN ever.
