Japan’s population had finally fallen to two-thirds due to an advancing declining birthrate and aging population.
The Cabinet passed the “Baby-Making Promotion Act,” pushing for an urgent population increase.
Its provisions included:
・Approval of polygamy
・Lowering the legal age for marriage and childbirth
・Free childbirth, childcare, and education expenses, among others
Furthermore, it was a bold bill that provided special subsidies to companies and organizations that promoted these measures.
Naturally, places advocating for this sprang up everywhere in endless numbers, causing public order to deteriorate somewhat.
Yoshio lives in such a world.
Yoshio, too, became one of those targeted by the law.
Those targeted are forced to transfer to designated areas.
Even with financial allowances provided, suddenly changing environments naturally came with anxiety.
And for good reason—the location Yoshio transferred to was a place with particularly bad public safety.
