Kakenuke★Forward to Our Sparking Youth!

  • Language: English, Japanese, Chinese

Toono Yuu, a Kazami Academy sophomore, eschews typical teen life for work――

"Youth? No time. I've got jobs."

Yuu's all about practicality, choosing part-time jobs over typical teenage fun. He manages his studies well and spends most of his time working for money. His childhood friend Hibiki and classmate Riri, who looks up to Yu, think he needs a change. They each try to get him to join a club.

Hibiki champions the "Action Club," nicknamed "Acti-Club"―― lively girls promoting "more youthful fun at school!"
Riri advocates the "Volunteer Club," nicknamed "Negati-Club"―― serious girls dedicated to "using youth to better the world."

Both relentlessly recruit Yuu――

"Not interested. Don't need youth."

Yet Yuu finds himself drawn into their world, despite his protests――
His predictable routine gives way to unexpected experiences.
How did this happen?

"Isn't it obvious?" his peers suggest.
"Brace yourself, senpai. Time to embrace your youth!"

What adventures await this reluctant teen!?

Again, what is with the exorbitant quantity of save slots? The game gives you a thousand by default and an apparent ability to add an unlimited additional quantity in ten slot increments. This is a VN with (as far as I'm aware) no actual game play.

Mechanically, VNs are essentially over glorified eBooks*. There's no need for the excessive number of save slots. Assume one save slot for every "Choice" the game gives you, and hand full more for "bookmarks", and a generous 30 more or so to flag out your favorite scenes. That is entirely unlikely to get into triple digits, yet they are given you four digits of save slots.

------------------

*I'm not trying to dis VNs, just stating an objective fact about their existence as software.

I'm not sure I'm going to be able to complete even the common route on this title as I'm already wanting to strangle all the heroines and I've barely begun the story. They have absolutely NO respect for the protagonists wants and interests, or the harsh practicalities of his living situation. It's all the heroine's wants and interests, the protagonist's right to chose for himself be dammed.

And it's not as if the protagonist is some week willed worthless individual with no spine, the story is just written as so he doesn't have an option of winning any arguments from the get go. If heroines really cared for him as they proclaim, they wouldn't be so extremely pushy. Sure they can invite him to join their club, but it's ultimately the protagonist's choice how he lives his life. The protagonist isn't breaking any laws or hurting anybody. The heroines don't get to decide the protagonist's life for him.

Finally, the RomCom aspect of the hero always getting accused of some sort of lechery is taken to an unbearable extreme. The heroines are being way to self absorbed, are constitutionally incapable of realizing something is an honest accident, or are constantly assuming the worst possible interpretation of events when there are a thousand and one other possible interpretations that are both benign and a billion times more likely to be the truth.

I honestly don't see how this type of story is popular.

General FYI: If you start this game on December 3rd (or have you computer's clock set to be December 3rd) you get a small Easter Egg on startup.

Based on the logic that specified December 3rd as such an Easter Egg, I suspect (but have not confirmed) there are also such Easter Eggs on:

January 8th

May 27th

June 18th

August 8th

October 13th

The logic I'm basing this on:

Spoiler

These six dates are the birthdays of the six heroines (or at least six female leads, I don't know if all six have routes) as listed on vndb.org.

That's a new issue to me.

In general, the Windows OS will squawk at you if you try to manipulate a file that is currently in use. This is just a general guess based off of observed windows tendencies, but I would suggest doing this:

1.) Go into the Steam settings and make sure Steam does not auto-load on computer start.

2.) Close Steam outright. Make sure it isn't just minimized to the system tray.

3.) Restart your computer.

Hopefully, this will insure that the file is not "in-use". At this point, try deleting the file again (or whatever you were trying to do.)

As an excessive maneuver, not really recommended, you can also try uninstalling all your Steam games and then uninstalling Steam itself, but if the above didn't work, this likely won't either. It also comes with the hassle of having to re-install all your games later.

That is one seriously grammatically mangled sentence. I can't understand it.

My anti-virus (AVG) allow me mark files as exceptions so that they are not flagged. Can't you do the same in Bit Defender?

    • Shonan Saika Academy, a high-achieving all-girls school in Kanagawa Prefecture.

One day, Marin Tachibana, along with her best friends Mashiro Saotome and Kiyoka Jinguji, experiences a special day.

It begins with meeting an unusual new transfer student, Shizuku Kujyo.

A beautiful girl with a calm and dignified demeanor.

Meeting her feels like déjà vu...

While showing her around the school, they stop by an observation deck, where Marin finds a four-leaf clover.

There is a tradition at this school:

If you press a four-leaf clover found on the observation deck into your student notebook, your wish will come true.

(I want to get closer to her. To spend more time with her...)

With this wish, Marin gives Shizuku the "coincidental" four-leaf clover she found.

This act becomes a turning point, bringing Marin and Shizuku closer together with the help of Mashiro and Kiyoka. However...

"Please, stop worrying about me. I don't want to just be protected..."

      "Shizuku, we're friends, right?"

A storm threatens to tear them apart.

It is deeply tied to a "secret" Shizuku is hiding and a "trauma" from Marin's past.

The story follows the growth, mutual support, and cherished memories of the four girls.

Will Marin and the others find their personal "clover" (happiness)?
    • In this game, you play as Fujita Hiroyuki, a high-school student who seems to have more interest in romance than in his studies. In his school there are several pretty girls, and his goal is to be nice to one of them, to make the right decisions when talking to her, and ultimately to win her heart.

Remake of the original PC version featuring a completely revised script, with some of the heroines having completely different stories as a result, full voice acting for all characters except the protagonist, new art, and mini-games.
    • In a future over one hundred years hence...

All the people in the world have awakened to unique abilities called 'Dunamis'. As these special powers become rooted in people's everyday lives, their value system changes, and those who lack powers are the ones who are treated as strange. With the passing of the ages, the environment has changed completely, while society has greatly regressed. The overall population of mankind has diminished as well, and most of the world is made up of wastelands and greenery dotted with the weathered ruins of the world before.

      The City of Raillore.

With brickwork buildings like those of the Middle Ages, developed over land graced with lush greenery and rivers. With the concept of nations gone from the world, Raillore exists as something of a self-sufficient commune. The Order of Security and Regulatory Knights - AKA the Regulatory Corps - serves as a government organization in charge of handling crime prevention and other tasks that require force of arms.

But things begin to change as odd incidents take place, one after another...

Those possessing abilities different from those of Dunamis begin to appear. The people fear this power and the phenomena it causes, and those capable of it are designated as ‘Errors’. The sudden appearance of these Errors is regarded as a disease, and the handling of Errors is placed under the jurisdiction of the Regulatory Corps. As people tremble in fear of the vicissitudes of the changing times, there are those who try to open a way to the future with their own strength...
