I finished my first VN last year and have only played all the way through a few since then. I have a question pertaining to English patches. Being from the United States and not knowing any Japanese, I of course have to download English patches if they are available. How long do they usually take to be released? Are they more or less all created by fans? and how often does a VN just... never become translated? I ask because there was a specific eroge I wanted to play but appears that it's only 8% translated and the last update was in 2011. Are they more or less all created by fans? Nearly all of them, mangagamer and JAST are the only exceptions I can think of. Is there any hope that this might be finished, ever?! Man, that's such poop. I know Fate hollow ataraxia still hasn't been patched and It saddens me. I think I might just learn Japanese for the convenience of it all. Thank you for the information!!
