This has been going for some months now, ant let me tell you: In my opinion, this is great. The animation may not be for some people good, but I still find it good as it is. To be more specific about it, RWBY is an upcoming animated series produced by Roster Teeth. About the story, I don't know much yet, since I've only seen the trailers, and they are all action, and it is indeed good action. They have introduced the 4 "main" characters in this order: Ruby (Red trailer) Weiss (White trailer) Blake (Black trailer) Yang (Yellow trailer) First episode will show at RTX, an event which I don't know nothing of, because well, Panama.
