This is from what I remember, but again, not sure if it's accurate. You's father was the teacher of Chinami's father as well as their mother. I think Chinami's father had magical Key AIDS or something. Their mother had loved both men to some extent, but loved Chinami's father more. Since he knew he was dying soon, he asked Ren to erase the mother's memories of their relationship. You was conceived at this point, but the mother had fallen in love with Chinami's father again after a year, and had Chinami. Chinami's father died shortly thereafter and You's father wasn't someone who went out much. If any of that is wrong, you might just have to go back and reread it.
