Having Problems Saving My Progress in Clannad

I've downloaded the zip files from erogedownload and followed the instructions, i can open and play with no problem it seems but when it comes to saving my progress it just says exchange for hours and i'm new to opening games with zip files etc. so i don't want to try and troubleshoot myself. Please if you have any idea what to do that would be great because it took me a really long time to download all the files i don't want it to go to waste.

The folder is set to read only probably ... Right-click on the folder where you extracted the game and uncheck "Read-only". Another thing would be UAC permissions, make sure you are an administrator on that PC with full privileges.

Thank you for replying I've unchecked the read only box but it still didn't work and there's only one user on this computer so i think i am the administrator but i'm not sure how to check and see.

Kind of a weird issue but I have had it before with other games. Are you running as administrator?
