Why do people do this, sigh...

Presumably people do machine translations because:

 

#1. It's faster than a proper translation.

#2. It's cheaper than a proper translation.

 

These two points allow someone to create a low quality product with very little overhead and this means profit.

 

The games weren't too great to begin with so I'm not that worried in this particular case.
