Mass effect 3: Shepard has to die

this is about the ending of mass effect 3 which maybe had been post for the thousand times. i'm a hardcore mass effect fan, and like most people out there hate the ending.

the difference is i think bioware made a right decision by sending shepard to her/his death. the problem is the execution. it's not epic enough.

it leaves us with a sour taste rather than a bucket of tears. i want a 30 minute cutscene of shepard sacrificing herself after an epic battle with harbinger.

 

 

shepard has to do something alone so her friends cannot come with. it has something to do with the catalyst. Anderson's not there cause i don't want him to steal the light. I want to see illusive man change and become somekind of indoctrined super soldier. after the fight, there's somekind of thorough explanation about the reapers. what are they, what are their goals. An evil one is preferred, unlike the original one. A heavily battle scarred shepard made one last badass or wise remark to the defeated "reaper brain" (the child in the original), which is not a child, not ugly to but an new type of perfected synthesis between organic and synthetic. the explanation would be something like i need organic to keep on suviving. (like the one from the matrix as a homage). after that shapard deliver final blow to end the reaper brain. time's running out. the catalyst about to fire on the reaper force

 

so the bloody and scarred shepard say goodbye to her friends from video uplink to the whole galaxy, (like the end of armageddon another homage) rather than 1 on 1 conversation in the game. (so the pace not interrupted). in the last conversation also mention about shepard hopes and dream which she can't fulfilled, and ask for a heartfelt apology to her lover. (blue children with liara and whatnot). and while all that's happening play a simple melody like the one from fate/stay night (the illusion piano version) as the bgm. Also (this is for renegade shepard only). her regret to do everything bad because it was necessary, and for her dead colleagues. But she's not crying (not emo) just an honest near death confession

 

meanwhile camera pan to living colleagues, may be a few word from the lover. NO NO NO or something.

 

After all that, finally an EPIC explosion to end everything, and shepard really really dead and stay dead. no more gasp or anything.

Mass effect relays stays intact, because i don't want to get propelled back to stone age. everyone cheers, shepard become a legend of the galaxy

 

AND CREDIT Rolls.

 

Epilogue would tell the story about each surviving member from mass effect 1 through 3. if its to hard to make a cutscene, devs welcome to use cheap cg like the epilogue of dragon age origins. And finally what the lover become after shepard's death.

There's an early bioware flowchart about an ending which shepard fight with anderson side by side and in the end if the parameter were fulfilled, they will come out unscathed.

i think it's really boring because the first two already did that, and it's possible that the greedy EA corporate will decide to make mass effect 4 in the future.
