Kamidori Battle Animation Freeze

Sooo, I've randomly started having this problem and I got no idea how to fix it now.

 

I've got to chapter 7 of Yuela's route just fine with running combat animations, but one day out of nowhere my game suddenly decided it didn't wanna run battle animations anymore so now it freezes whenever it tries to.

 

I can still play it with battle animations turned off but that sucks.

 

Googled it before but couldn't find any solution at all, if anybody has any idea of what's causing this issue please let me know.

have you installed the game properly?

like this:

Change your system locale to Japanese

Unpack the disc image, append packages, 2.0 update and translation patch.

Mount the disc image and install the game by running the setup.exe inside the disk.

Run and install in the following order:

- kami_ap01.exe

- kami_ap02.exe

- kami_200.exe

Copy the English patch to the installation folder, run and install

Open AGE.EXE to play

Yeah, I installed the game properly, like I said already the game worked just fine and then one day it just suddenly up and broke.

 

I managed to fix it by the way, it turns out some of my codec related stuff was broken (some files disappeared somehow) so I downloaded and reinstalled the k-lite codec mega pack and it was fine again.

 

Thanks for the help though.
