    Rance 2 is nigh unplayable. Even once I got the game running, there's so many text glitches that it's difficult to even understand.

    Finally found what I had to do thanks to the wiki walkthrough. Goddamn, some of the leaps you have to take are utterly ridiculous.

    Oh, I'm trying to play as much in order as I possibly can, starting at Rance 3. It's quite fun (and downright hilarious in places), though I wish the gameplay had some genuine challenge though (I pretty much always just turn on Auto). I heard the later game do?

    Can I just say that I'm annoyed that there isn't a translation for the original version of Rance 2? I know that the update is technically better, but maybe the old-fashioned part of me feels that it's more genuine. Also, it's been well over a month, and I still have no idea how to get into that stupid ghost house in Rance 1.

    I'd rather not do something with a high chance of driving me insane. I already have SubaHimi for that, the difference being that SubaHimi is actually good.

    I find it hilarious that Muv-Luv Extra, a game deliberately meant to be a generic dating sim, still has more artistic merit than a lot of bog-standard eroge. Legit, has there been a VN period that used a bog-standard "generic" artstyle and gained genuine acclaim? I feel like everything with actual fans behind it avoids having it.

    So, every service I've found seems to be malware. Anyone got a relatively clean, safe link for reinstalling the function that WON'T riddle my laptop with viruses?

    I'm finally downloaded and installed all of Root Double: Before Crime, After Days, but the game won't start and says I need XINPUT1_3 to play it. How do I fix this?

    I'm playing Eikyuu Senki and, after I beat India, the game says the text string is too long and crashes. How do I fix this?

    If that's the case, I'll just keep playing the rest of the VNs I have in my backlog (Rest of SubaHimi and Eikyuu Senki), then check back. If it isn't out, I'll just relent and get it clean. I'm not really THAT bothered by the loss of H-Scenes.

    So, I've been playing the first Rance game (original 1989 version) and I'm directed to heading into the haunted mansion, but it's still stated to be closed. Is this a bug, or is there another event flag I've yet to trigger?
