Is the exp gain really this bad? The characters are at Lvl 11 in the end of chapter 3 trying to gain lvls before the Debate battle with Sakaue and the exp bar barely moves per 1 enemy in Mizelt Tomb.

Maybe not needing internet to play is my favourite part about VNs. Plus it's the best breather when you want to get away from studying for 10 mins. You simply can't play mmorpg or watch anime for 10 mins and then get back to studying like nothing happened. VNs satisfy my otaku inside while also not needing to switch my brain from studying mode (I'm not a genius) to playing games/anime mode since the epic plots/music/script is a brain teaser.

... I just picked up Minamoto-kun Monogatari and read about 50 chapters worth in a single sitting. Honestly, I enjoy it, but it pisses me off to no end. It's basically a heavily sexual ecchi, but because it's ecchi and not full hentai, it's basically a never ending tease. Like watching a hot girl dance and strip for you, then at the last moment waving 'ciao' and leaving. Some guys may love that sort of teasing thing(and some girls of course), but eventually I feel like something has to give, and it's usually me stopping and going to find a nukige or porn or something... Maybe it's just a guy thing, but blegh.

Haha, shouldn't you know to keep Ecchi and Hentai in two different boxes by now? And honestly when I decided to read this, I didn't even know there was going to be any private parts lickings. I thought it would be just panty and cleavage shots like the usual.
