Wait, what? d2b VS DEARDROPS got released?
Those two OVERDRIVE titles weren't so great plotwise, but I loved the music (their more upbeat tracks made their way into my get-psyched playlist while the mellower ones like those from the Kira☆Kira fandisc are on my driving playlist), so I guess I'll buy this one from my next paycheck.

Yup, pretty much. But it's enjoyable. If you liked the first one, you'd like the second. There's a bunch of easter eggs and there's still Sakura (yay!). Some heroines are just a copy-and-paste from the first one but they're unique enough for you to enjoy and to spend time reading. Basically, if you've read part 1 and liked it, read part 2.

Eh, I appreciated Clannad more than Canvas 2 simply because I can play it on fullscreen without issue..
As to the original question, DC:IF didn't feel as sad since I still get the feeling everything will turn up fine. I dunno, whenever Sakura shows up, she kinda has a soothing effect to me (and not just because she's a loli).
Clannad, IMO successfully projects bleakness and hopelessness in those scenes that you end up cursing the world for its cruelty. Fuko doesn't really quite alleviate the sadness, but she'll do as a ninja.
It's the magic factor, I guess. In one, it's prevalent while on the other, it barely shows.
One has characters like a witch/magician, a mind reader, a cat girl, an alien, an android and a lot of abnormal scenes that are taken for granted as everyday occurences (e.g. out-of-season cherry blossoms).
The other has a mysterious gathering of "light" for every route cleared and surreal dream sequences while leaving the reveal and the miracle RIGHT UP UNTIL THE VERY END.
With that, you'd know which one can easily be resolved. That's my opinion though, feel free to disagree.

DC3 is pretty slow.
Surprised to see Eden already on QC phase even though it was announced pretty recently. Must have been already worked on even before MG's announcement.

Not in the mood to start reading a new manga series, too many ongoing ones I'm keeping track of. (Nisekoi, Utsuho, Yamada and 7 Witches (Yankee-kun to Megane-chan's ending was SHIT though), Akame ga Kill, Fuuka and Nanatsu no Taizai are a few off the top of my head).
OEL webcomics however, are pretty nice for casual reading. Following Chosen (same author as Insert Life Here), Questionable Content, XKCD and Dumbing of Age..

Playing Shogun Total War 2 at the moment. Wanted to try playing as Takeda and see how things would have turned out if cavalry was used more effectively against Tanegashima units. As a Japanophile, I've gotten hooked to Sengoku and Bakumatsu-era stuff.
Other installed non-ero games at the moment are Tropico 5 (lags a lot). Dark Souls 2 (offline only), Enemy Front, Agarest, Agarest Zero, Battlefield 2 and Battlefield Vietnam with various mods. Oh and FF3's remake. Taking my sweet, sweet time with it.

Rhetorical question. Something vanilla, perhaps? Or something big, with decent plot content (no, not these kinds of plot.)
Edit: Just a little derailment, would a trap protagonist fucking trap heroes/heroines constitute as BL?

If you use a desktop with an NVIDIA card, you can try forcing the aspect ratio on the NVIDIA Control Panel (sorry no screenshots or links, on a phone at the moment).
If you're on a laptop or use an AMD/Intel card, you're on your own.
Just research on "Display Scaling" and "Aspect Ratio" for your system. Hopefully, Google-san can provide decent and helpful tips on accomplishing this.

Amazingly, it's been 3 years since they last released a localized nukige (Yukkuri Panic: Escalation from 2011 when I checked VNDB. 2012, if you'd count Moero Blaze as a Nukige).
Compare that to MG who churns them out like rabbit spawn every few weeks.
JAST must really be making money out of J-list to not rely on the same strategy as its competitor to stay afloat.

Regarding the featured title we have for the week's TL Status, Magical Marriage Lunatics, I'm crossing my fingers that this doesn't get C&D'd since it's made by Moonstone.
Moonstone also did Suika, which was a collaboration project with Circus (in fact, Moonstone spawned from a bunch of members from Circus).. And we all know Circus is partnered with MG in the West. But, hey, at least this one isn't one of those numerous Da Capo titles.
Edit: Also, MG has Princess Evangile on their pipeline, a Moonstone-made and published (PC version) title. If those two companies have an agreement regarding localization, MML's translation project has the risk of getting C&D'd.

The fiasco with the independent release of their patch finally roused them to action. That's probably one good thing that came out of that mess.

I've been using Hola Better Internet extension for Chrome (link) at my workplace to bypass our firewall (shhh!) for Facebook, 4chan and 9gag, just to name a few sites.
I dunno if it works for nationwide, ISP-wide or a well-configured router firewall though. And it sure as hell won't work for torrent and FTP protocols.
