  1. I believe they're all classed as Eroge (Steam version possibly leaving one or more scenes out or their CG at least.) but I know what you mean, think it was called Nukige meaning basically a focus on just sex and the story development takes a backseat between jumping from one erotic situation to another.

First game featured a bit more development in that regard before you got to these scenes near the end of it whereas I'm guessing both these sequels feature more sex scenes though I haven't played part 3 yet so perhaps the author has listened a bit on feedback from the previous installment and dialed it down a bit but I wouldn't be surprised if it's more of the same only switching which of the various girls you're now interacting with. There were quite a few of them albeit they mostly have supportive roles aside from like two per each chapter. (No idea how the author plans to wrap it all up in the end, perhaps there isn't much of a plan behind it.)

Guessing length hasn't changed much either so if there's more erotic scenes that means less story development and such if they're still 3 - 4 hours long depending on the players reading speed.

EDIT: Likely still phonetic as well meaning there's no input or choices for the player on which action to take or such.

  2. Been thinking of picking this up but I haven't really had much time lately and this is apparently a re-release of the original game from 2013 then split into three episodes which is the version Mangagamer licensed so I'm likely going to wait until they're all available first, not really sure how long the actual game is either.

Guessing it'll pop up here in a while or on the Sukebe.Nyaa tracker (Nyaa having the all ages content, Sukebe.nyaa having the adult stuff.) seems the price is around 25$ and MG does tend to price their games based on length as I remember so ~75$ for all three episodes would mean it's on the longer side though they might squeeze in some extra money via this episodic release but 50$ - 60$ is usually a fairly long game even so. :)

Though if I do pick it up earlier I'll send it over to Ivan if he hasn't already uploaded it, just been busy with other things lately so haven't had time for these games lately as I said.

Especially the bigger releases whether it's all ages or adult though I'm guessing this is mostly sex driven but going by the blog posts Mangagamer did there's a bit of story too. (Episodic split focusing on a few bits at a time or some such.)

  3. Had some interesting extra route in the first game as I remember and then in the second game the protagonist is like the grandkid to the guy in the first but you don't even see him or the chosen heroine besides a couple of quick references.

No idea what happened in the spin-off games as I haven't played them and D.C III well something must have happened now if magic and stuff just happens to be around for some reason. :D

  4. Denkigai and Comiket! ? MangaGamer Staff Blog

Hello, everyone! This is evospace, a staff working over in the Japanese office of MangaGamer! I would like to take some time to introduce the two awesome conventions that are happening in Tokyo during the last few days of the year: Denkigai Matsuri and Comic Market.

For those of you who are visiting Japan this winter, and attending either event, I hope you will use this post as a guide! For those who are not able to attend, I hope it’ll at least be an interesting read for you!

“Denkigai Matsuri” literally translates to “Out of the Electric Town Festival” and it originally started in Summer of 2009 by one of our partners, minori! The reason it was called “Out of the Electric Town” was due to the event taking place in Shinjuku, and while that isn’t in Akihabara (otherwise known as the Electric Town), it’s actually is the most concentrated convention there is in terms of bishojo games. Because the commercial side of Comic Market is becoming more mainstream every year, small to mid-sized eroge developer are having trouble obtaining a booth, so they all started migrating to this convention, which takes place on Day 0 of Comiket, instead. Although the size of the convention hall is tiny compared to Comic Market, you can find over 40 developers in this compact place. And, just like Comiket, it takes place twice a year.

Here’s a quick list of our closest partners who will have a booth this time!

    BaseSon / NEXTON

    (Koihime Musou, Kuroinu)

    ClockUp

    (EROGE!, euphoria, Maggot Baits)

    minori

(ef – a fairy tale of the two., eden*, Supipara, Trinoline)

    Purple Software

    (Hapymaher)

    Comic Market 91

    Dec 29 – Dec 31, 2016

    Tokyo Big Sight

This is the more famous convention throughout the world, which happens during the Obon Festival and last three days of the year. The main attraction of the event is the doujin (indies) side which spreads across all 3 days in different categories featuring over 20,000 circles. You could actually find some artists from the game companies, having their own personal booth featuring doujinshi from their personally favorite anime/games as well.

The commercial side of Comic Market is also growing every year, with participation from different game, anime, and publishing companies. It has gotten so mainstream in recent years that you can find booths from an ordinary clothing store selling cosplay tools to Unity, the programming engine. If it’s your first time attending, and planning to go there early, keep yourself warm and securely find the end of the line to the hall that you want to go to by asking the con staff because there will be thousands of people. It’s usually first divided into, west hall commercial, west hall doujin, and east hall doujin, and then they disperse into individual lines for each companies/circles.

Lastly, the head chairman of Hentai Industries was awesome enough to send us a message to all the English speaking fans out there. I think it represents the thoughts and feelings of the Japanese developers well!

    ————————————————

    Hello, Konnichiwa

I am Alamar Chinkokusai, the chairman of Hentai Industries.

I will be attending Comiket held in Ariake on 12/29.

Since I won’t be bringing any English games with me, my selection this year might not be as interesting for you, but if you let me know that you’ve read my games at MangaGamer, I might think about bringing some English games to Comike next time!

Just to warn you, I don’t understand a word of English, so I could barely greet you.

However, the MangaGamer staff taught me two lines:

    – The greeting, “Hello,” used for close friends.

    – The proper greeting, “Your money is mine!,” used when I meet new people.

Although I don’t understand what these mean, I’m sure they are wonderful phrases. If I am at the booth when you stop by, I’ll try my best to greet you kindly. I’m the guy with the long beard, so you can’t miss me.

I might be gone by 1PM though, so I’m sorry if I’m not there when you get there!

    ————————————————

***I tried to look up as many related artists as I can, but I’m sorry if I couldn’t catch your favorite ones!***

There’s also one other major convention called Character 1 in Spring, but I’ll save that for next time! There’s only a few more days left in 2016, but don’t let your guard down because it’s not over yet!

EDIT: Maggot Baits? Heh and here I thought Euphoria had some pretty strong content.

    http://hgamecg.com/index/category/854-_clockup_maggot_baits

(Well it does I suppose but this is a bit even above that it would seem.)

  5. That's usually the case, can probably be seen in several VN's both fan translated and done by e.g MangaGamer or Jast or whoever else there is. (Sekai project and other more recent companies doing translations of both adult and all-ages VN's or making adult VN's into all-ages ones regardless of how much has to be cut, heh doubt I'll ever understand that.)

"rub-a-dub-dub thanks for the grub." as seen in a certain game from Mangagamer is probably not quite the best match for the Itatakimasu or eh I probably butchered that spelling. :D

(Post the machine translated VN'sof their early first and second year heh had really hoped they would revisit and update more - all. - of those games but that's probably unreasonable and especially now with some of those original VN companies having closed down too probably making licensing and such difficult.)

EDIT: Forgot if it was Jast, MangaGamer or both (And various fan translations to?) but I do like the little documentation provided with some games explaining the translators reasoning behind certain terms and keeping or changing more common things like say the honorific system and what not, doubt I'd ever learn Japanese well enough myself but it's interesting to read their reasoning behind certain choices like that. (Expressions and other sayings and well it's probably pretty difficult to translate some of these VN's into English both accurately and with also having to ensure the reader can understand most of it without totally changing certain parts.)

EDIT: Ah right there was also a test or questionnaire in one of Jast's games which they changed from Japanese themed questions and answers to English ones.

(Think it was Jast at least.)

  6. https://vndb.org/g718

That might help, just go with the ones with a English flag if you're looking for translated titles. (Both fan and official releases I believe.)

E-Hentai Galleries - The Free Hentai Doujinshi, Manga and Image Gallery System

Or that for just the CG, as per their rules though not all galleries are available as some of the content can be restricted even to registered users.

(Imouto Paradise to name one game has a route with one of the female characters being a more dominant type but some other characters are a bit younger looking - Though not quite say Jewel Knights Crusaders "All characters are above 18 years old, honestly. JAST" - heh.)

...And it also depends on just how well tagged certain titles / galleries are so say instead of using a simple term to find certain types of content featured in some of these games you have to instead learn these Latin terms for fetishes that you never knew existed. (And some which probably should not exist either. :p )

Or certain Japanese terms for about the same really, Irrumatio or what it's called to name one related to blowjobs and then there's a couple of hundred or so more for anything from behaviors - Tsun or Yan -Dere being popular there. - and other traits - Ideal Woman for example to simplify that one. - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yamato_nadeshiko - to well various perversions and who knows what more. :p

(Shibari for certain rope arts and yeah I've been playing VN's for far too long. :p )

  7. Euphoria? Bit strong for some though, Eroge? It has some "shitty" moments though to call it that but usually only one or two per route. Imouto Paradise has some interesting content as well (And the weirdest way to ever get to harem route?) Starless? The intimate moments are pretty lengthy though, tons of text to where you could probably fit in some smaller length VN's in the time it would take to read all of that. :D

Many of the older Jast licenses were a bit less tame current ones too, translation quality varied a bit though.

(Though nothing is ever going to beat Mangagamer and it's first two years with partial machine translations possibly being more legible.)

VNDB has a pretty good list of tags as well if there's something in particular you are looking for.

    https://vndb.org/v2762

(Many titles appear to be using the original Japanese name which well some of the English licenses are a bit original in their re-naming, Suck My Dick or Die! from MangaGamer being one notable example though the original name is pretty strong too I suppose with something like Rape Guerrilla Commando or what it was. :D )

Quest Failed On Sale Now! ? MangaGamer Staff Blog

Enigma and Quest Failed are out now from MangaGamer.

(Sunflower seem to be coming out in early December as well.)

    JAST DevLog

Nothing from Jast yet so far it would seem.

    https://denpasoft.com/?age-verified

And DenpaSoft seem to be publishing those Sakura games now.

Steam? Well Steam is seeing daily indie releases from attempts at VN games with varied success though some larger studios appear to now be using it as well for their all-ages content.

(Or forcing all-ages on content that probably might not be entirely suitable to such conversions...heh.)

EDIT: Seems Ouroboros is also set to be released in a few days from Mangagamer, using what looks like fairly standard RPG Maker assets and custom CG's from something resembling MS Paint. :D

  9. 2-10 hours? What's even the point of that without the 18+ content? It's not like your going to get any kind of deep storyline out of it.

Was wondering about that myself, going by the CG gallery ( [Norn] Kemomimi Harem Vacation ~Inaka de Nonbiri Mofumofu Kemonomimi Shoujo-tachi to Kozukuri Zanmai~ - E-Hentai Galleries ) there's not much left if you remove the adult content, I guess the game fades to black or some such in the Steam version then unless it was cut entirely but that's about as bad as those Hirameki "DVD play" conversions from a few years back then. :D

  10. Starless and Bible Black come to mind, both were translated by Jast though starless had a official-unofficial update to re-add some parts of the CG that were edited out but they are a bit "darker" or how to best describe them.

(And the girls of Starless seriously needs to install more than one toilet - that is probably broken. - in that huge mansion of theirs, it's not Water Closet 2.0 but there's a lot of CG with a focus on a certain something. :D )

Outside of those I guess MangaGamer has a few licenses as well featuring large busted heroines but I'm unsure if there's much outside of quicker what were they called again? Nukige? anyways shorter VN's with little to no story outside of "Get fucked!" or something similar . :p

(Funbag Fantasy comes out today I think though, could be a bit above the rest but it is a nukige as well though a bit bigger from what I've understood and that doesn't just mean a certain some measurement. :p )

EDIT: Busty? Busted? Eh I guess both work seeing how some of MangaGamers licenses are a bit more risky than Jast's newer works.

(Jast had a number of early games that tried some of that but after a while they started to slightly edit some of them though now they're doing unofficial-official restoration patches instead. :D )

Frontwings "Corona Blossom vol.1" is out on Steam now. - Save 10% on Corona Blossom Vol.1 Gift From the Galaxy on Steam - with the +18 content available as a extra via DLSite as paid content. - Corona Blossom Vol.1 Special DLC (enables x-rated scenes) [for Steam version only] [Frontwing] | DLsite English for adults

As with Nekopara and a couple of other games the adult scenes are restored but retains mosaic due to Japanese decency laws or what they were commonly called.

  13. JastUSA, I think those are the primary two in the US and then there's Denpansoft with a few 18+ versions of games that are primarily sold via Steam.

    https://www.jastusa.com/

    https://denpasoft.com/?age-verified=585bf8c113

Some of the Steam VN's have optional 18 "restoration" patches too, part of the Sakura games for example.

(Though these are developed from a variety of smaller teams so quality can be all over the place, although I guess the same can be said for some of Jasts earlier releases and Mangagamers "quality" translations for their first two years or so.)

EDIT: Frontwing has a couple of licensed games via I guess Kickstarter but they tend to strip out he 18+ content or just localize a existing all-ages version of the game.

    Steam Search

(SekaiProject and MoeNovel from my understanding also does the same.)

EDIT: Actually the Steam VN tag might be better for a more complete overview although there's a couple of not-quite-VN games listed too.

  14. Funbag Fantasy Now Available for Pre-Order! ? MangaGamer Staff Blog

Funbag Fantasy is set to be released August 9th. :)

Art reminds me Conquering the Queen and that other one that appeared to be almost the same game but got cancelled due to, well something about Rapelay being available for sale via Amazon or what it was and that caused a small outcry in some western countries and Mangagamer lost I think it was two or three licenses.

(Sadly including one for a game that was to be released just a day or so later and which was briefly available for download but got pulled and has since disappeared, shame I didn't manage to grab it before it got pulled then again back then Mangagamers translations were still a bit spotty although I doubt it would have been worse than Sandwiched between my wife and my sister and Tasty shafts both of which are borderline unreadable gibberish ha ha.)

(And MG also had a habit to "enhance" names a bit such as that one game called Guerilla Commando or some such when translated becoming...Suck my Dick or Die!... ah I wonder who approved that. :p )

EDIT: Oh and unless it wasn't clear the game appears to be a tit focused nukige type VN heh yeah as if that wasn't already clear from the title right. :)

  16. X-Change 1 - 3 and also Yin-Yang X-Change Alternate were released by Jast and should be somewhere on this website in the download database.

(X-Change 3 also has a fan restoration patch for one scene in a "bad end" where Jast removed a sprite for a younger character whom was partially undressed.)

(X-Change 1 and 2 are also fairly old but should still be playable even on modern systems but I don't know if there's any issues with them.)

Not sure about the others, tags for the X-Change games might lead to other VN games with Futa content on this website though. :)

  17. Trinoline Announced ? MangaGamer Staff Blog

Surprise! At his Monday Q&A panel during Anime Expo 2016, Nobukazu (nbkz) Sakai announced minori’s next Visual Novel project: Trinoline ~LL Move~.

During the panel, nbkz expressed his desire to make Trinoline an international release, and his plans to ask those of us at MangaGamer to handle the localization while the game is still in development, with goals to make the time gap between Japanese and English releases as small as possible.

Current development plans are setting early 2017 as the target release date for Trinoline in Japan.

  18. The 18+ content is also sold separately as a DLC via DenpaSoft. - https://denpasoft.com/shop/karakara-18-dlc/ (Retains mosaic though but restores the scenes.)

(Which is usually the case, sometimes even established publishers like say MangaGamer have mosaic in their games as for whatever reason they were not able to acquire the original uncensored images - In general I believe they're simply lost and thus no longer available but there are other reasons such as fearing reverse-importing of the uncensored data back to Japan for example. - and Jast has even declined licensing games due to missing uncensored art although they've also cut out content deemed problematic in some games although these days there's usually a "fan-made" restoration patch available and they do post beforehand if they've altered any content.)

Going by VNDB it has a "short" length meaning around 2 - 10 hours and a overall rating of 6/10 but not that many have voted.

    https://vndb.org/v18974

Seems to be "IndieGoGo" funded project as well.
