  1. I downloaded this not fully knowing what I was in for, but after hearing various stuff from various sources, I've also decided to hold off on playing this for now. I actually thought the wait for a possible patch would be much longer. Depending on when it is released, I may not have to push this game to the very end of my VN hold-list.

  2. It's perfectly fine. I downloaded and installed it just recently.

On another note, it's not bad. Good in fact. But, routes branch out far too late. And there's the occasional bi*tchy character. Infuriating :S

The Matsuri route was awesome. Long, fulfilling and all.

Just wish that epilogue thing had been left out. I don't like these many years later afterstories. It kinda messes up the end for me :/

It's getting a remake isn't it? Hope that gets translated as well.

  3. Justice is the PC version and it contains H-scenes. Destiny is the PS2 version. It doesn't have H-scenes or any other adult content(CGs etc. are edited). Some of the H-scenes in Destiny are replaced with different events.

The walkthrough you are using is probably only for Duel Savior Justice. The Crea route is for Destiny only. It's like the Harem route in Justice.

    Here's how you get it:

Crea events for her route (Destiny Only):

Chapter 4, 2nd Free Action (Night) - Gate

Chapter 5, 1st Free Action - Gate (Choose not to bug Berio)

    Chapter 5, 2nd Free Action - Gate

    Chapter 6, 1st Free Action - Gate

    Chapter 7, 2nd Free Action - Gate

  4. It had a good plot, art was very good(character art especially, some of the backgrounds felt a bit off) and the sound was nice(voices especially). That Azure Bird BG music was cleverly placed. H-scenes were way out of place, though.

    General Spoilers ahead:

H-scenes aside, the VN had a realistic or “believable” feel to it. The protagonist was kinda old, but I guess it’s a nice change from the usual hot-headed teenage stereotype that is commonly used for eroge protagonists. The way he managed to keep his cool no matter what happened was understandable. First of all, he learnt his lesson when his wife was taken and he went crazy looking for her. Secondly, he’s been involved in brutal murder mysteries since then so we can assume he’s pretty used to death. Thirdly, he’s 30. He’s old enough to retain his calm in such situations. He did go a little nuts in one ending, though.

    The Yukari one.

I didn’t get most of what Toko said. She talked like a philosopher, or a poet. It didn’t fit in with the semi-reality based atmosphere of the VN. I’ll just chalk it down as the over-dramaticness of a high school girl.

I would have liked for there to be at least one truly good ending, though. The one ending which was somewhat better was the one in which they were able to recover Toko. But she probably won’t have much of a life after that.

By the way, it seems like this guy just needs an excuse to have sex with school girls :S

  5. Do we need to be connected to the internet for the voices to play? Because I had this on my iphone and the voices only played when I had my wifi on.

  6. Pretty good. The thing I like about Akabesoft 2 VNs is that the protagonist and the heroine usually get strongly attached to each other, and the overall emotion in the vn is strong as well. Too many eccentric characters though :S

It seems to have an enforced playing order, since I had to do Rizu's bad(?) ending before a certain essential choice for Miku's route appeared. I have to get started on Miou's route now but I doubt it'll be able to top Miku's. After that I suppose I'll give Rizu's good end a try.

EDIT: Miou's route was good. Not as good as Miku's, but I definitely have to play through this again someday. Rizu's route was meh. I liked the bad(?) end better.

  7. A new translation is currently in progress for a new English patch that is not machine translated, almost 10% done. It's being done by umikaze translations so hoping all the people who can't read Japanese (including myself as well) will enjoy this already terrific game in proper English, yay!

Thanks for the news. I didn't hear about this. I'll be waiting for the new translation.

@ultimecea - Thanks for your time and help. I reinstalled the vn and did it exactly as was shown in the video, but the result was still the same. That "FH.exe has encountered a problem" error. I'm giving up on it for now. I'll wait for this new translation. Hopefully that will work.

  8. I patched it after I moved it. I don't think the problem is with my drivers or codecs since it works fine without the patch. I uninstalled and installed it again, after patching it's giving this message:

FH.exe encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

  9. Yes, I followed your instructions. And now it's doing something else. I started up Windows, clicked on the icon, no message is displayed this time. A black screen opens up and the game closes immediately after. I keep trying to open it again from time to time, but the result is the same..

  10. This time the patch worked fine, but now when I click on the FH icon a message is displayed: Windows cannot access the specified device, path, file. Make sure you have appropriate permissions to access the file. What do I do now?

  11. Been trying for hours, can't get this to work :/

Installed into Program Files, moved "FlyableHeart" folder to another drive, installed the font, ran the patch. The patch gave some fatal error for PAL.dll, config.exe and FH, but it still resumed. After that I tried opening the FH file, it shows a black screen, an option comes(it's in Japanese), I have to choose between YES and NO. I tried both, the game just closed after I selected either one. Tried uninstalling and installing again 3 times.

  12. It was boring. Too much info-dumping and over explanation, which is especially annoying during fight scenes. Describing a split-second shot would take several pages, killing every last bit of impact it would have had.

Plus, it turned into a history lesson somewhere along the line

I also don't like this type of writing style. It's like they're trying too hard to shock or move the reader.

It's very similar(almost a replica) to Kikokugai – The Cyber Slayer, but Kikokugai was better. Even though that didn't have voices. I understand that Nitro+ made them both, but they should've at least maintained some distinction between the two novels.

  13. The only reason, and I do mean only reason, I haven't played this, or watched the anime yet is because of the terribly generic anime character designs. These big heads, huge shiny eyes, nearly invisible noses and mouths, and small faces. Well, I think my problem is with the girls' designs mostly. And they all look the same. I don't think I will be able to take the story seriously with such characters. At times I'm just moments away from starting the download for either anime or vn, but then I have a look at the characters and lose all motivation for continuing. The story is definitely more important to me, but still, character designs can't just be overlooked.

  14. Whew, I've finished all the routes. The actual routes weren't as long as I initially thought they were. The common route takes up a huge chunk of the overall content. Kaede is still my favourite, followed by Lily and then.. and then.. hmm. I don't know whether I like Mia or not. Mia route spoilers:

I did like her before her route, but during her route she was acting real bitchy. Especially to Lily. And Taiga was acting awful towards Lily as well. Also, the ending of her route was really unsatisfactory. So I think, all in all, it is her route that I dislike.

    Liliy route spoilers:

It had a strong story and the length was satisfactory. If only the routes were to be compared, then this would have been my favourite route it not for some things. The gap after the last battle(but it seems all the routes had such gaps. I hate long time gaps) and that whole 1000 year later epilogue. What's the point of showing us what happened nearly a millennium after everyone in the game died? That gave her route a kind of "dead-end".

    Harem route spoilers:

The route itself was awesome. Lot of new info was given and it had plenty of content. It's just that epilogue overrun with babies that bothered me -.-

  15. I'm only done with the Aeka route at the moment, but I must admit it's a really good vn. They did a good job with the realism. There are only a few things that seem a little off, but that is to be expected since from my perspective nothing is perfect. After playing Aeka's route I don't feel like going for any of the other heroines :(

    Aeka route spoilers:

After playing through it I felt kinda depressed even though the ending wasn't depressing as such. I can't bring myself to play any other route since that would mean Aeka would continue getting bullied alongside, without a friend in the world while the protagonist is hitting on other girls. I'm a sucker for those depressed types who have some cute or funny habits you get to see when you are close enough, and who become dependent on you XD

Another thing is that I didn't like that time gap at the end. It was only a few months, but still I never approve of such gaps. I've seen many vn routes ending like this and it seems like a cheap way out to me.

EDIT: Done with other routes, nothing special about them.

  16. I'm only done with one route so far (Kaede's) and I must say the VN is really good. It's long enough, the comedy, the action and the sad parts are spot on. I just don't like the sprites. Their faces just don't look right (although they're fine in most of the CGs).

    Kaede route spoilers ahead:

She's probably my favourite heroine (I may change my mind later on about this). Her VA is perfect for the role. I'm using the PS2 voices, meaning Itou Shizuka. Her route was awesome. The only flaw (for me) in her route was the ending dialogue. If only they'd left out all the talk about kids and stuff. That really came out of nowhere. It would've been fine if they'd just talked about marriage or something. And also there was that huge time gap after the last battle. It would've been better if they had actually shown a little in-between stuff. Her "de gozaru"s are so damn cute, though. Especially the time when she was dozing off and going "de gozaru... de gozaru".
