  1. It's not as brutal or violent as people are making it sound. I mean, you're just viewing a still picture, hearing sounds and reading some text. It can't compare to a movie of the same category. It's not so bad at all. It's not hard on the eyes, but rather on the stomach. Because some of the things that you'll read in this are somewhat extreme; rape, cannibalism etc. Story-wise it's great, though. The emotion is there, the depth is there and so is the realism(to an extent).

  2. The story is really strong, completely contrary to my expectations. The atmosphere is on spot and realistic. The horror in it, especially in the beginning events, is mildly scary(which is saying a lot, considering I'm something of a horror nut).

Potential spoilers ahead: The truth about Saya was made obvious quite early in the story(even earlier if you put 2 and 2 together), but even so the romantic elements were fairly strong. The true ending(where Saya "blossoms") was my favourite. Overall, it's a little disturbing, and mind boggling, but... it's good. Even though you can't help but have conflicting thoughts during the H scenes. The soundtrack was quite good. Ito Kanako did an amazing job with the ending theme. I like most of her songs, especially the ones in Steins;Gate. Oh and about the changes in the main character's personalty.. hmm, a little extreme, but bearable(if you exclude the cannibalism that is. That was just gross).
