Sounds plausible, but for those like me, I want to know the whole story. As sequels hint or comment on previous occurances only ocvered in other games. Like the Rance series. I played Sengoku and it hints and comments about previous crap all the time, plus there's the questions of how they came to be what they are. Questions only answerable by either extensive exact research or by playing the previous games. And of those options, I'd much rather play a game then spend all that time researching.
