Personally I want people to choose based on the rating in VNDB... or at least choose the top VN in the category you like.

You don't mean where we changed some of the jokes to fit an English audience, do you? There were some references and lines that needed tweaking to make them funny or sensible in English. We purposefully changed some line to account for that. We would've liked to modify more, such as using 'exorcist' instead of 'Onmyouji', except that it made certain other scenes unworkable (the East/West comparisons fundamentally relied on having an Eastern/Western dynamic which was lost by changing the word). In general, we tried to avoid direct mention of Japan and Japanese mannerisms as much as possible to avoid immersion-breaking, and it meant reworking some of the lines on occasion.

The meaning gets slightly thrown off, it's nothing big and you'll probably have fun reading it as it is.

I mean most of the routes are done and the pre-patch is already out. Only Akira's and Motoka's are untranslated... most people just play for the Sora route anyway.

Finished Steins Gate 0, it honestly left me with more questions and a cliffhanger compare to the original.

Could you elaborate on what you mean by that?

During important plots points such as in the Red Night and during flashbacks the translation is almost always on point, but during the slice of life school-time the translation is sometimes incorrect. I find most mistranslations to be related to Tadashi's jokes.

The tl for 11 eyes is good at serious moments, but is often incorrect at slice of life moments

Nevermind, I just looked it up and Mangagamer had no choice. The +18 had no voices, had worse art, and was owned by a doujin circle.

I've played through all the routes and it found the story quite interesting. This is one novel which you want to run through all the ends so you get to see parts of characters that you don't see in the normal route.

Pretty much still a partial.

I assumed that this patch was at least based on the latest revision of our SVN repository, but as it turns out, it's just the patch that I distributed to our team on 2013-09-21 for testing purposes. Our main editor, Sheeta, made huge amounts of changes to the scripts after that. It's better than nothing, it should be readable, but I wouldn't advise anyone but the most curious to use this patch.

I do intend to finish everything and release a complete patch. This has always been the case. It's been a long time, but I never gave up on Yoake. That being said, you don't finish anything with mere intentions. In that regard, since I recently left my job (or rather, one of my jobs) in order to pursue other things, I was planning to take some time to work on things I left unfinished.

 

To be clear, I'm pretty sure that people could read and enjoy it as is. Just be aware that this patch doesn't include everything our team has done; it's just an old internal patch being leaked.

 

Anyone else have problems with the button sound effects not appearing in Koiken Otome?

Edit: Well, that's weird. After finishing a route, the button sound effects are all back. I didn't change anything.
