Wayblazer Dämmerung

The Kingdom of Mikelty is harboring a quietly smoldering “spark.

The kingdom, founded 60 years ago, is located in the Setetri region in the south of the Raulbash continent,
The kingdom is home to skilled craftsmen who make the most of the rich natural environment to create handicrafts and ornaments,
It was reputed to be a land full of laughter, where the dynasty and the people worked hand in hand.

–However, these days will not last forever, and in recent years, various problems have begun to surface.
The royalty and aristocrats who monopolize power and profit and force themselves on the people and craftspeople began to stand out,
The people began to lament and complain about their daily suffering, but their complaints were suppressed by military force, and they fell into worse conditions of life.
The people lost their smiles, and the daily routine of quietly going about their business so as not to provoke those in power quietly took root.
Mark is a “ryoshi,” a profession specialized for procuring the materials needed by artisans,
He was a young man who felt the hardships of such a life firsthand.

One day, after work, he learns that something strange has happened in his hometown of Koteeril.
The knights, who are supposed to protect the kingdom and the people, have been hurting those who oppose them and taking away their crops and furnishings.
Outraged by this outrageous act of power, Mark and his friends set out to restore the peace that once existed in the land of his birth.
He prays that everyone in the country where he was born and raised will be able to live with a smile on their faces and not wonder what tomorrow will bring.

Has anyone played this for a while and wants to give some input?

It seems like a significantly worse version of Kamidori.

The exposition dump at the start is of the charts.

The combat is standard turn-based instead of grid-based.

And the dungeon graphics just seem worse somehow.

I bought it through steam before Ivan uploaded it here. If you were hoping for Kamidori quality, I have found it yet, though I think I'm still more or less in the prologue. The turn based combat attempt to apply strategy and tactics by applying a grid layout to where your party and enemies are, which effects what abilities you can use and how effective they are, but it feels like the designers were trying to hard. Maybe by the time I finish the prologue and assemble all available characters, I find a party combination that feels more functional.

That being said, i'm not saying the game is garbage, just disappointing if you expected Kamidori level quality.

The tutorial in Kamidori was not difficult but not an auto-win either.

And it established Will as competend but lacking in experience. It worked really well.

Here, the two guy are talking about how they need to be careful in the forest.

And then you proceed to one-short every enemy by a large margin, including almost the miniboss

That tonal dissonance between gameplay and narrative turns me of hard.

I was not necessarily expecting something on the level of Kamidori,

but being even less enthused than i was with Kami no Rapsody i did not assume.
