Yume Miru Kusuri - A Drug That Makes You Dream

  • Language: English

I am just an average student, living an average life. I study, I work my part-time job, and get through the day just like everyone else, trying not to be beaten down by the pressures of modern Japan. Then suddenly, the winds of change blow into my life, when I encounter three girls who reshape me forever. Three girls who are most definitely not living a normal life like everyone else in Japan, but who seem to float above society, strangely unaffected by it. Instinctively I know I should avoid getting involved with them, and yet before I know it, my destiny is bound with theirs. Where will it all lead?

One of my favourite eroge ever. The artwork is fantastic, you actually care about the characters, and every story deals with serious personal problems that are believable and very down-to-earth.

Yume Miru Kusuri drew me in, and I couldn't put this one away after I started. Highly recommend this one if you're looking for a great eroge to read; doubly so if you want a game with characters and routes that deal with real-life problems.

The only thing it's missing is the unlockable route they talk about in the VN. Since they have that kind of strong hinting for one it makes me wonder if it was cut due to time-limits or something...

Still a very good VN though.

The sister route got cut, there is even a CG section for the sister leftover in the menu.

That's a shame, because she is an awesome imouto-character.

As for the game: the Aeka route is still in the top 5 of the best routes ever! (At least imho)

i agree i cant think of a better arc ive read

my only complaint is the h-scenes on her arc they are so fkn long

nekoko's scenes were a bit long but no enough for me to bother skipping through it

mizuki's were a good length

it may just be me but i read VNs for the story not the h-scenes

but still it was good to read nothing else i can complain about

I'm only done with the Aeka route at the moment, but I must admit it's a really good vn. They did a good job with the realism. There are only a few things that seem a little off, but that is to be expected since from my perspective nothing is perfect. After playing Aeka's route I don't feel like going for any of the other heroines :(

Aeka route spoilers:

After playing through it I felt kinda depressed even though the ending wasn't depressing as such. I can't bring myself to play any other route since that would mean Aeka would continue getting bullied alongside, without a friend in the world while the protagonist is hitting on other girls. I'm a sucker for those depressed types who have some cute or funny habits you get to see when you are close enough, and who become dependent on you XD

Another thing is that I didn't like that time gap at the end. It was only a few months, but still I never approve of such gaps. I've seen many vn routes ending like this and it seems like a cheap way out to me.

EDIT: Done with other routes, nothing special about them.

The first VN I ever played. Astonishing how easily it drew me in, and I could not stop playing for 3 days until it was completed.

I found the nekoko route a bit distasteful and lacking in certain areas by my standards but.. overall a shocking experience.

A really good story is told here, you should experience it at least once.

and Aeka

    • Janieve High is your average all-girl high school. The only thing that makes it stand out is that it is the first school in the country to try out the bridge year initiative. Claudia Flaurance, great-granddaughter of the school’s founder, takes this opportunity to be part of the first wave of students for this optional seventh year of high school. Now that she finds herself alone and without friends in a class full of girls who have known each other for years, her new life at her ancestral school can begin.

Two other girls, Gabriella and Michelle, won’t let Claudia be friendless for long though. Together they try to find a school club to join to solidify their friendship.

But wouldn’t starting your very own club be the better option? And with that Claudia is not only the new girl, but also the president of the brand new book club.

This new book club has something to hide though. Girl-girl romance books are the only books on the menu! Now renamed to the yuri club, this club might just be what Claudia needs to get to the bottom of Gabriella’s and Michelle’s past. And if they can secretly help other girls at the school confess their love to each other, that’s even better! That is what the yuri club is all about.

Can Claudia find her place at Janieve High? Can the school help her understand the mysterious mood sensing power she’s been struggling with since childhood? And most important… Can love conquer all? Or will Janieve High’s anti-relationship rule be the end of the yuri club?
