Battle Goddess, were do i start?

i wanted to give it a try to the Battle Goddess serie but i dont know were should i start:

Ikusa Megami Zero or Tenbin no La DEA. ~Ikusa Megami MEMORIA~

Chronologically (story wise), Ikusa Megami Zero is the 1st game, so you could start there. However, you would need to go through Genrin no Kishougun and Genrin no Kishougun 2 to get to Ikusa Megami VERITA. After those 4 games, the next one is Tenbin no La DEA, which is actually the remake of https://vndb.org/v770 which also has a sequel https://vndb.org/v557.

One thing I should mention; there is a free "VN without gameplay" that Eushully released - https://vndb.org/v7573. As you can read from the description, it tells the story from the "first 3 games" without gameplay elements, so you can go play VERITA right away. I haven't read any of them (probably will at some point), but I plan to skip those first 3, read that recap VN and start at VERITA. Plowing through all of those games will take forever to be honest, not to mention the need to play the two "ancient" games to get to the newer ones.

 

If you don't care about the story at all (just want to have some fun with gameplay) then the chronological order doesn't matter. Check out Zero, VERITA and Tenbin with the Interface TL patches and see which one you like the most. I think they all have similar gameplay elements, though.

Im more interested in the story that the gameplay but i think im going to play Zero and skip Genrin no Kishougun with the story only vn.
