charlbeef 196 Posted September 3, 2017 Share Posted September 3, 2017 How to make Live2D model from JPG images (for non-artist) (beginners tutorial) I noticed from time to time, that there are people here that get interested in doing something creative, but lack a certain sets of skills. and also to breath some fresh air into the general section threads, so.. ill just leave this here. like the thread title implies, there's a guide for how to create (something like an illusion to make 2D images 3D and interactive) using only JPG screenshots from mostly anime, or even sprites from extracted visual novels without years of artistic training. i knew this day would come, since the launching of that facerig program in 2015, i actually wanted to try this myself but didn't. and somebody has made organized a series of tutorials/Guide for it. Stuff like Nekopara to me looked like it would want to use this. Am amazed that it actually goes for showing sides (a little), even backside in the future he said sth. . That's the part that if not 3D would traditionally mean "too much work needed". Makes me wonder how it then would differ from "real"/"full" 3D, also if it would be more lightweight on CPU/GPU or actually turn out being more stress for those...
