I know that some people (including me) have problem with this game. Namely every time they try to run it they get a black screen and the game freezes (no error message or anything). Using compability mode don't work.

So what is the solution?

I had this kind of problems with other (older) games so I know what to do and it's simple.

Just delete all .AVI files in game folder (Brand.avi and Opening.avi) or put them somewhere else. You can aslo try some tricks with codecs but it's not worth it.

The game have problem with running them, so it freezes. I know this shouldn't happen but we all know that there is nothing impossible.

After doing so the game will throw you an error every time you run it as there is attempt to run inexisting file but after closing it the game will run (just do several enters first time you run it).

Other problems that I've experienced is closing the game after changing from full screen to window mode, but when you rerun the game should work in window just as you wanted.

Tested on:

CPU: Intel Dual core, GPU: Asus EAH3850 (based on ATI chipset), Microsoft Windows XP Home SP3 (PL), Japanese fonts installed but not used atm (running without AppLocate).

Just finished Deardrops. Well it's a very good VN but it's not as good as I hoped it to be. It had some really sparkling moments but Yayoi and Rimu endings can be only considered as bonus comparing to Riho and Kanade (which were really good). The music were good (for porn) but I actually turned it off after several hours.

There were some other funny stuff too but I didn't make a screen or it'd be several.

To tell the truth it was one of the first eroge I actually enjoyed reading and not fapping, but it had some fine art in several pics.

For the plot as usual it had some better moments but most was just avarange and several were bad. And yeah the main character was annoying. To tell the truth I've played way worse VNs and had some fun so I don't really get it why you are so against this game.

Not really fun and not really eroge.

There is that page that allows you to play (really) old VNs online for free. It's way better than having to emulate Windows 95 (as it's required is some of this games) and it's a good occasion to learn some classics. They are still missing some good stuff but I think they'll catch up soon (before PS4).

I have Calamity Trigger for PC and PSP but I doubt that we can play together and even if I'm no good with BB (read as really bad).

You need a virtual drive. Get Daemon Tools Lite or something like this, install, create virtual drive, mount .mds file in this virtual drive, proceed like with normal DVD.

Played demo some time ago and my only reaction was wtf is this? I really liked action RPG 1, I kind of enjoyed action like rpg 2 but 3 is only action. Will have to pirate it someday and find out if it's worth buying because demo didn't look fine.
