  1. So minori is out of the game, I have mixed feelings about this. I despise most of the MC they created, but yeah, there are worse studios than them.

But I have to say, they sound a little bit salty...

It all went downhill for them with the release of Supipara. Their original plan was to create a massive Visual Novel and to split it into three parts. However the first part did so bad they were forced to abandon the whole project. From that point on they had to face a bankruptcy crises and so they switched over to create less cost-intensive (you might even say more mainstream) Visual Novels. Unfortunately none of their following works could turn enough profit to get back on track.

All things considered, they were around for a long time. Most Visual Novel companies release a single title and that's it, you never hear of them again.

  2. 1) A game is something you do for the sake of entertainment.

    - You play Visual Novels for the sake of entertainment, so yes it is a game

    2) A video game is an electronic game where you control the graphical images on a video screen.

    - While it isn't much you do control the game through clicking and advancing the text, picking choices etc, so yes it is also a video game

    At least from my understanding.

Edit: I guess a better word to describe most Visual Novels would be interactive game.

  3. I'm very happy at Daybreak translation are translating Akatsuki no Goei since its one of VN I dreamt of getting translated. I just hope it's read able and translation are not bad.

Q: Why aren’t you looking for help in regards to more translators?

A: We are trying to avoid that, as it will impact the translation’s quality for a game of such length.

Q: Can you show any actual proof that you’re translating the game, aka images and stuff?

A: We’re trying to work on some images and/or a very short video trial, bear with us.

Also apparently they already translated the entire game, they "just" need to proofread and edit everything.

The Prologue is complete, currently undergoing TLC and Editing work. The Common Route has been completed. Reika’s and Aya’s routes have been finished, Moe’s route has been finished, Tae’s route has been finished, Tsuki’s route has been finished in translation, god bless. Now editing and TLC are up.
  4. I'm a little bit surprised that someone is willing to pick a key game now that they are releasing their games officially. I hope they don't get a c&d.

Sadly I think it's just a matter of time until they get a c&d however there's always the chance that afterwards Key will ask them to help with/work on an official release of the game.

Personally I'm quite excited about Lamunation. It looks silly and chill as fuck, perfect for relaxing after a hard day of work... and 2 heroines with heterochromia. Oh yeah!

Message from the brains behind the game, Ikuhiko Sato of developer Prototype

    Sup homies!

I’m hella excited to bring this super exciting and emotional Japanese visual novel to the world.

Released in Japan in June 2016, it’s a cheery, fun, cool, and kinda crazy—but always positive—love story set in the fictional city of Saint Aria and featuring Lamune (Japanese traditional soda pop), a custom sports car, and a rubber duckie.

It’s the perfect VN for anyone looking for scintillating heroines, fast-paced action, cartoon comedy, retro 80’s disco music, and a bit of yoga… and even if you’re not into any of those things, I’d still totally recommend it!

It’s been two years since the game was released, but Japanese players are still talking about it, so I’m sure you’re all gonna love it too.

And Japanese fans who’ve already played it can use the English version for language study! (Be careful, you might not wanna use this stuff in everyday conversation! – Meru)

With love, Ikuhiko Sato a.k.a kepposhi

  5. why gaben suddenly removing adult content ? Is there some kind of issue or what ?

The issue is that for some reason they are only targeting (let's use their vocabulary) anime games so far. I wonder if they will also go for games such as Witcher 3.

    On the bright side...

After running into issues with Steam, video game publisher MangaGamer is teaming up with the digital store’s biggest rival, GOG, to sell visual novels.
  6. I'm not a person who watches a whole lot of Anime and so I actually haven't seen all the popular ones but here are some I would like to mention.

    Spring

Kuzu no Honkai: Not really an Anime I would ever recommend but it tried something different, and new things are always welcome.

Rewrite 2nd Season: Was it good? Hell no. I only listed it up because of how much better it was than its first season.

    Spring

SukaSuka: Definitely my favourite Anime of 2017, at least so far. I really liked the more realistic approach on the character interactions. Also the last episode is so good... IF you ignore the last 5min haha.

RokuAka: Mediocre Anime overall but golden first episode. I have watched that episode like 5 times. Gotta love that slapstick comedy. I'm a simple man sorry.

    Summer

Aho Girl: So much dumb humor. I like dumb humor. Did I already mention I'm a simple man?

    Fall

I haven't really watched any Anime of the last season except Imouto sae Ireba Ii. Why that one? Because a friend told me to check it out since the title is nothing but a bait... and well he was right. It was overall not that great though but it had here and there some nice scenes.

  7. By the way, there's Bishoujo Mangekyou update in which Arcadeotic say that he'll try to release the patch at 10th later. Here's his tweet for the proof here, and what I could say is that if he still want to keep the release as the secret perhaps it shouldn't be tweeted in the first place lol. Oh well.

I had this game on my wishlist for a long time now. I'm happy it got a translation after all.

  8. Let me sum up my impressions of the spring and summer season, both not really that great imo.

    Spring

    Shingeki no Kyojin Season 2

A solid second season, can't really say anything bad about it. I didn't like the pacing of some episodes but it wasn't really that bad. Of course the whole titan thing didn't have the same impact like it had in the first season but that's to be expected.

Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records

This anime will stay in my mind forever, because the first season was 100% slapstick comedy. I re-watched it directly after having finished it once. So good. Everything after episode 1 was your usual magic high school stuff. The protagonist had a somewhat interesting background and past but they didn't really focused on it, what a shame.

Zero kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho

The first couple of episodes reminded me of Spice and Wolf (interaction between 2 main chars) and I liked the setting. But for some reason everything went down so quickly. It went from interesting to mediocre to boring and finally to why am I even watching this? Too bad. I thought this show had some great potential.

    Eromanga-sensei

I simply had some wrong expectations for this one. Fortunately you quickly realize that this show isn't going anyway and if you are able to adapt to this, then you can actually enjoy it. Overall still meh but it has some cute moments here and there.

Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasu ka? Isogashii desu ka? Sukutte Moratte Ii desu ka?

This is my favourite anime of spring. It has a really interesting setting and main characters. I have to admit that some of the middle episodes were kinda so-so but the ending was so strong. Too bad that most people skip this show but I can understand because everything basically is a build up for the last episode.

Shingeki no Bahamut: Virgin Soul & Re:Creators

Still have to finish both anime but they are running on low priority since Bahamut wasn't really able to suck me in and Creators was missing action for me. I'll finish them eventually though.

    Summer

Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e

I don't really know what happened. This was my favourite anime of this overall meh season, it was like a glimmer of light... and it became really good and interesting and then, all of the sudden, it feels like I'm watching a different anime. They just threw all the tension etc. they built up away. I don't have a lot of hope left for this to be honest.

    Tsurezure Children & Aho Girl

What can I say? Short and funny. I like them both. Perfect to watch after an annoying day at work, for example.

    Kakegurui

If you like fucked up shit, then that's the show for you. Overall pretty good, here and there some weaker parts, but I like it. It's different, in a good way.

    Fate/Apocrypha

I still don't know what to think about this one.

    Koi to Uso

Man this show started so good (that OP omg) but now it just ends up being the same "shit" we have seen over and over again. I knew this was bound to happen but still, damn. The setting really makes this anime special but after you explored it then there's your usual '2 girls love 1 guys - 1 guy loves 2 girls' kind of situation. It's still enjoyable.

  9. I have a vague memory that Tomoyo After - It's a Wonderful Life was fully translated.

Is my memory failing me or is there a patch somewhere that i cant find?

Doki Fansubs made a translation patch for it in 2012 (for the 1.1 version of the game) but the game got an official release on Steam later on in 2016 (memorial edition) so you can't download the original patch from the Doki Subs website anymore. I'm pretty sure you can either download the 1.1 version pre-patched or can find the doki patch somewhere nevertheless*

*since the memorial edition adds some new stuff (which wasn't really impressive or important imo), but has still a huge flaw: the changed ending.

(It also doesn't contain any sex scenes which to be frank were shit and badly placed anywhere, but people want their fanservice so I guess that would be another flaw)

  10. Well, adding voice acting proved too be much more of a challenge than anticipated, but finally here is the build! Splitting so much audio to slap it into so many lines while making everything in the game sync with it was quite the ordeal. The truth is, this scene has been ready for half a month, but since it was made with voice acting in mind it was quite unremarkable without it. So, I'm sorry for making you wait this long, but I really wanted you to have the full experience.

    Secret Build: download

  11. I feel like they are being too greedy with this fund-raising, common, 200k just to translate the chapters already available in japanese? this two chapters aren't even particularity long and they were a failure in japan so I don't get the overly ambitious kickstarter fund raising. I don't know what is the goal for the next chapter but it will take a long time if they reach it at all.

Well people realized that you can make a lot of money with kickstarter translation projects for visual novels soooooo..... it's all about the money ma boi

  12. ;82410']On other news' date=' seems like Japan is getting 18+ version of LoveKami -Divinity Stage- (LoveKami -Sweet Stars-) and (not sure, but most likely) 18+ version of -Useless Goddess- (LoveKami -Trouble Goddess-). Gonna cross my fingers for an english version (but this is Pulltop we are talking about, so i'm not entirely sure what to expect).[/quote']

Usually I don't pay too much attention to ratings but Devinity Stafe has 6.54/10 and Useless Goddess 5.44/10 ... so don't keep your hopes up xD

  13. ;82408']Even character graph shows that she has a smaller cup size than other heroines. Were specific sizes ever mentioned anywhere?

Nah. Apparently some vndb user with the name otakuman007 added the E+ at one point : https://vndb.org/c34928.10

For the other three heroines a user called overmage added the E+ cup trait but at least it makes sense for them since they do have quite the udders.

Edit: Also I'm at the beginning of the sister route and the game itself was pretty okayish so far. I don't have high expectations for the route though considering the way it started.

  14. Let's check out the heroines...

Miyase Mihiro : E+ Cup, Pale, Slim, Teen

Narumi Toa : E+ Cup, Pale, Slim, Teen

Rokuonji Kaoruko : E+ Cup, Pale, Slim, Teen

Sakuragi Roofolet Ashe : E+ Cup, Pale, Slim, Teen

Well at least that Narumi Toa girl is tagged with "Full Sister" so I might check her route out lol

After playing the game for 2 hours I need to correct vndb, the sister heroine (girl with the silver/white hair) has by no means E+ cup. D at max, maybe even "just" C

Not even sure if somebody cares about my "discovery" but whatever ^^'>
