  1. That new VN - Sorcerer's Dream, looks like a real trash, anybody read it? xD

Well apparently not a whole lot of people have read it and on vndb there are only 2 votes so far. It doesn't appear to be long Visual Novel though, maybe 2hours or smth. Why don't you just give it a try if you are interested in it? ;)

  2. That's the same thing I would suggest.

Create a new folder and move your savegames there (you can find them in the game folder under "SaveData"), see if you can start the game normally again and if yes, just skip (iirc it was the space bar) until you finish her route. If you get the same error again, do a screenshot.

Edit: Chisato's route is so damn long because it's the true route, the one the story was made for. That's also why you are locked on her route during your first playthrough. Usually it's the other way around but not for this game, best and true route right from the beginning.

  3. Yeah, I checked it later again, they did say 18+ free patch is for granted :) Though there is just one potential pitfall for this game. I want it to be a longer one xD If feasible, to be of Monster Girl Quest lenght, if anyhow possible :D We don't have enough Monster Girl eroges :D

You should check out the "Monster Girl Paradox" RPG. Part 2 got released some days ago and at least the UI is already translated and it seems they are nearly done with the full translation for Part 1 and obviously will move to Part 2 afterwards : https://dargoth.com/

Edit: Actually by now there are quite a lot of monster girl eroge on the market. Although most of them are shit or not translated.

but in this case i think even "normal" peoples will be able to enjoy that game

Don't you have to be at least a bit fucked up in the head to like monster girls to begin with? xD

  4. From what I saw of the project, I think I did see it confirmed to be going on to Steam ... By the way, why would you actually want it on Steam? Steam eroges are usually censored and no H-scenes (there are some exceptions though) ...

This is clearly a game for mentally ill people with a monster girl fetish that just want to fap to some sick and disgusting sex scenes. If you take away these scenes from the game via a steam release then there's nothing left since the game never was designed to have a story.

I am one of those mentally ill people btw. I want that shit!

Edit: Nevermind. From what it seems they are going for a censored steam release, yes, but you can get a free 18+ patch to unlock the h-scenes.

  5. https://vndb.org/v15080 - Interesting VN, Front Wing could indeed localize this.

Just as Mimori Ichirou, a non-commissioned officer serving as a Zero fighter pilot during the Pacific War, was about to launch a kamikaze attack against an enemy warship, he instead found himself crash-landing in the middle of an unfamiliar desert. However, before he could perish from aimlessly wandering the sand-covered wastes, he was saved by a princess capable of transforming into a dragon.

With that kind of background the protagonist has some chance to be good. Or at least not boring.

! I'm not going to update this thread anymore because I stopped being a backer. There was just too little progress overall, at least in my opinion !

  7. Symphonic Rain is out on steam. Damn right in the feels.

I am ready! Bring it on! >.

I still have to play the true route because when I was playing SR years ago my HD decided to explode which led to the loss of my save files so I definitely appreciate the re-release. Although to be honest I still don't know if I like the new art style. I kind of prefer the washed out look of the original art, it comes with a slightly depressing vibe which fit the story pretty good (in my opinion).

  8. Tsumairo Shoujo ~Fuufu Seikatsu, Hajimemasu~

Due to the declining birth rate in Japan, the "Government-Sponsored Marriage Program" was created, pairing men with their perfect mate. Kouta is chosen as one of the lucky candidates, and when he goes to meet his future bride, he meets Hazuki, a beautiful young girl. They are married the same night, and Kouta's new wife makes a request of him:

"Please... Please do lewd things to me."

And another high quality story setting.

  9. With all honesty Symphonic Rain has a good plot and don't really need HD.

Don't get me wrong but I always get irritated by comments like that since a higher resolution does nothing but to improve the visual quality of the game. There is no downside to it. SR may not need a HD remake, in your opinion, but what's the harm of it? Will it worsen the game experience for you? I highly doubt that. I even think it's the other way around. But once again, no offense. I get that the main message you wanted to deliver is that SR focuses on plot and not on visual impacts.

The only reason why one should avoid an HD remake is when its art style is inferior, in your eyes, to the orignal one. For example if another artist worked on it.

  10. probably silently stalking..

    Count me in for that.

Also in case somebody is wondering about the Symphonic Rain translation (because the game was translated in 2010 already), this time it's about the remastered edition of the game (HD artwork by original character designer/artist Shiro).

  11. i dont really get it. D: you mean in vndb? tried them all, some dnt have hscenes or english trans. :(

    1. The link I posted earlier only shows visual novels that have an english translation

    2. To see if the visual novel has h-scenes, click on one, scroll down and look at its english releases (18+ usually stands for sex content)

For example. Canvas 2 ~Akaneiro no Palette~, scroll down, there you can see under english: |2010-10-08 18+ Canvas 2 ~Niji Iro no Sketch~ DVD Edition (patch)| so because of the filters I used it has a nameable protagonist, it has an english translation AND since it's 18+ it also has h-scenes.

    3. Searching and finding visual novels you are interested in always takes up some time.

  12. i'm not too familiar with them, what did they do to the vn before? :o

Let me take you on a little journey through all the games LoS made so far.

Nursery Rhyme - solid first title

Itsuka, Todoku, Ano Sora ni. - many say it's one of the best VNs ever made

Tayutama -Kiss on My Deity - the visual novel that made LoS popular

Tayutama -It's Happy Days - of course it had to get a fandisc

Prism Rhythm - kinda meh game

Hello,good-bye - had huge potential but fucked it up later on, still a good game

So all in all they released some really good games and they also managed to build up a fanbase. But then, all of the sudden, they decided to only make moege. All of them are generic, the characters feel all alike (they even look alike) and there is nothing special about them or the story. Basically just your usual moege game.

    Diamic Days

Gaku ☆ Ou -The Royal Seven Stars-

Gaku ☆ Ou -It’s Heartful Days!!-

    Hanairo Heptagram

    Magical Charming!

Sekai to Sekai no Mannaka de

    Unmei Senjou no Phi

    Rensou Relation

    Kodomo no Asobi

Because of that they lost many, many fans. But then they decided to release "Tayutama 2 -You're the Only One-" which even brought some old fans back because all were hoping for a game that has the same quality like the older LoS games. Unfortunately the game was horrible. LoS made a shitload of money with that game though. So I guess for them it was a huge success which would explain why the game gets a fandisc as well.

tl:dr Lump of Sugar is a classic example of a company that switched from high quality products to shitty ones in order to make as much money as possible while giving no fucks about the fanbase (I especially loved the adv for Tayutama 2 where they made it look like Mashiro would play a major role in the game... turned out to be a fucking joke)

  13. Tayutama 2

So the game that drove away a huge chunk of the lump of sugar fanbase (mostly fans of the older games, especially tayutama) and is usually described as bad gets a translation. Thank you world. Nobody asked for this.

Edit: I'm not even sure if they still have something as a real fanbase after they fucked up Tayutama 2 that much.

Edit 2: If this somwhow leads to a translation of the first Tayutama game the-... oh what am I talking about.

  14. I grabbed the game from nyaa that had everything included and I don't remember it being particularly hard to setup, with the English patch included

Really? Because I grabbed the game from nyaa as well and it didn't work for me. Maybe I got a wrong torrent or something. Mind to share the one you used? (if posting torrent links is not allowed here, nvm)

To be honest, I didn't find the endings particularly different all in all but I still found the VN itself pretty good

I'm not sure what you're talking about because both endings had the opposite main message which implies they are different xD

I absolutely loved the part where you are trapped in the decision menu until you say "give up"

I didn't watch the anime of Guilty Crown (I have heard it's shit)

It's not as bad as most people say but it has many problems. It's not the first title I would recommend but there is no harm in watching it. The Visual Novel is more enjoyable than the anime though. Not sure if you will like anime as well.

  15. Yeah, Ivan didn't upload this one but be warned that the saving issue with the English patch still isn't fixed ... You need to beat the game in one go xD Or just do several playthroughs with skipping xD

I can confirm this, I'm not sure if they are ever going to fix that problem.

It's still sad to not see the game here because especially one part of the ending was fucking epic and it's a good visual novel overall.

From what I remember you had to download the orignal game, then update it with the patch you can get from the official website and finally install the english translation patch.

  16. Princess Maker 2 refine has been reborn with full colored high resolution graphics, noticeable upgrade compare to the original 1994 edition. In addition to the visual update, all characters have been given a full Japanese voice over, including your daughter. Experience a true masterpiece in full color and full voice over where wonderful life with your daughter awaits you.

I guess the same goes for the remake of the prequel "Princess Maker refine"

  17. Da Capo is the definition of mediocrity so unless you're particularly interested in a specific heroine I wouldn't touch the game. Da Capo 2 isn't all that better but at least the two routes of the sisters are good. Not amazing but good.

Dunno about Da Capo 3 but its intro was all about jiggling boobs.

  18. oh boy... and i havent even played d capo 1!

if i remember correctly "da capo" and "da capo 2" had nothing to do with each other (besides the name and some unimportant references) so i'm pretty sure you can just hop into "da capo 3" without having read "da capo 2" or "da capo"

    da capo
