Been trying for hours, can't get this to work :/ Installed into Program Files, moved "FlyableHeart" folder to another drive, installed the font, ran the patch. The patch gave some fatal error for PAL.dll, config.exe and FH, but it still resumed. After that I tried opening the FH file, it shows a black screen, an option comes(it's in Japanese), I have to choose between YES and NO. I tried both, the game just closed after I selected either one. Tried uninstalling and installing again 3 times.

It was boring. Too much info-dumping and over explanation, which is especially annoying during fight scenes. Describing a split-second shot would take several pages, killing every last bit of impact it would have had. I also don't like this type of writing style. It's like they're trying too hard to shock or move the reader. It's very similar(almost a replica) to Kikokugai – The Cyber Slayer, but Kikokugai was better. Even though that didn't have voices. I understand that Nitro+ made them both, but they should've at least maintained some distinction between the two novels.

The only reason, and I do mean only reason, I haven't played this, or watched the anime yet is because of the terribly generic anime character designs. These big heads, huge shiny eyes, nearly invisible noses and mouths, and small faces. Well, I think my problem is with the girls' designs mostly. And they all look the same. I don't think I will be able to take the story seriously with such characters. At times I'm just moments away from starting the download for either anime or vn, but then I have a look at the characters and lose all motivation for continuing. The story is definitely more important to me, but still, character designs can't just be overlooked.

Whew, I've finished all the routes. The actual routes weren't as long as I initially thought they were. The common route takes up a huge chunk of the overall content. Kaede is still my favourite, followed by Lily and then.. and then.. hmm. I don't know whether I like Mia or not. Mia route spoilers: Liliy route spoilers: Harem route spoilers:

I'm only done with the Aeka route at the moment, but I must admit it's a really good vn. They did a good job with the realism. There are only a few things that seem a little off, but that is to be expected since from my perspective nothing is perfect. After playing Aeka's route I don't feel like going for any of the other heroines Aeka route spoilers: EDIT: Done with other routes, nothing special about them.

It sounds somewhat interesting. Has anyone started reading or read this? Is it any good?

So.. is each new edition a different game or basically an updated version of the same game? For example, if I download this one and not the others, will I be missing out on something?

I'm only done with one route so far (Kaede's) and I must say the VN is really good. It's long enough, the comedy, the action and the sad parts are spot on. I just don't like the sprites. Their faces just don't look right (although they're fine in most of the CGs). Kaede route spoilers ahead:

Main page: Saya no Uta | Eroge Download Also I purposefully used those words because many people would consider such things offensive. Hence, the purpose of tags.

I didn't reveal anything at all. I was careful to mostly words that are tags for this vn on the main page.

It's not as brutal or violent as people are making it sound. I mean, you're just viewing a still picture, hearing sounds and reading some text. It can't compare to a movie of the same category. It's not so bad at all. It's not hard on the eyes, but rather on the stomach. Because some of the things that you'll read in this are somewhat extreme; rape, cannibalism etc. Story-wise it's great, though. The emotion is there, the depth is there and so is the realism(to an extent).

@ale137 - You're not the only one. And I also liked that ending.

The story is really strong, completely contrary to my expectations. The atmosphere is on spot and realistic. The horror in it, especially in the beginning events, is mildly scary(which is saying a lot, considering I'm something of a horror nut). Potential spoilers ahead: The truth about Saya was made obvious quite early in the story(even earlier if you put 2 and 2 together), but even so the romantic elements were fairly strong. The true ending(where Saya "blossoms") was my favourite. Overall, it's a little disturbing, and mind boggling, but... it's good. Even though you can't help but have conflicting thoughts during the H scenes. The soundtrack was quite good. Ito Kanako did an amazing job with the ending theme. I like most of her songs, especially the ones in Steins;Gate. Oh and about the changes in the main character's personalty.. hmm, a little extreme, but bearable(if you exclude the cannibalism that is. That was just gross).
