  1. Waiting for the full translation of Majikoi to be completed... not too far away actually. I've been dying to play it, but I made myself promise not to touch the game until the full translation patch is out  Also i wouldn't mind if someone picked up the sequel and the "prequel" Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de

  2. I forgot to mention, the sister route got a last minute cut from the game. There is a section for her CGs in the menu somewhere still. /cry

Aww, that sucks. I was reading some of the character profiles and saw that she was a non-blood related sister... I was thinking she was definitely going to be a route.. guess not :(

  3. Ending game spoilers -

I nearly lost it when you find out who the daughter was named after... they don't really say it but you pretty much know she named it after his dead sister. Man that hit me hard.

Overall, just a great VN. Got a 9/10 from me, despite a few shortcomings with the other characters.

  4. Thanks that actually worked, and also thank you to everyone else who helped me out, your contributions were much appreciated :)

Ignore my previous post then :) Glad you got it to work out. Be sure to also play Unlimited and Alternative after playing Extra :) Enjoy the experience, i finished Alternative last week... the whole series probably took me around 100 hours. Have fun.

  5. I've read somewhere that you just need to run the patch despite the error and it will work fine. Can't confirm since I wasn't getting any errors.

Yeah i just read that as well. I didn't get that particular error but some google searching lead me to this post which seemed to have solved the problem for them -

"Here's how I fixed it, though. First, mount the Extra.ccd file with Deamon tools (or whatever it is you're using), but don't start the setup.exe when it asks. Then, download the patch from amaterasu's site, and install the patch before installing the game. The patch should say that you don't have the game installed and it'll ask if you want it to install the game for you, say "Yes" and let it install that way"

  6. I misjudged the length of the game as well. I knew it was long, but even after a good night's rest, I'm 4 more hours invested and it's still going strong. Things SHOULD be winding down, but knowing this game, there's still a chance of me being wrong. Hopefully I'll finish it up today, but who knows.

In the meantime, I was going to play Kira Kira next, but part 6 doesn't want to download for some reason. -.- Adding some to my frustration at the very warm and humid weather I've been dealing with. This is July type weather in the 80F range, not stuff for mid march.

hahah yeah, its been abnormally warm here recently.. especially since its only March. I also remember misjudging how long the game was towards the end... i kept thinking... "oh thats the ending"... "oh wait nvm"... "ah yeah it ended right here"... "okay nvm something else is happening." When it finally ended, I wanted to play it longer... shows you how good of a VN it was.

  7. Ok so which file am i supposed to mount the MDS or the img file?

Mount the MuvLuv_Extra Disc Image file with Daemon tools, make sure you click "all files" after you click mount image on daemon tools if you can't see the Disc Image file for MUVLUV_EXTRA ... you install the MuvLuv_unlimited ISO file after you finish the two main routes in Muv Luv Extra.

  8. Just finished A Profile. Was pretty hesitant going in since it mostly got mixed reviews from the community but I checked it out anyways since it was developed by the same people that made G Senjou and Sharin no Kuni. I really enjoyed it. The first hour or two are really slow, so if you try it out you should give it a chance before deciding that it sucks. I really enjoyed Miku's route... Rizu's route was good as well.... could of probably done without Miou's route. Still, a fairly good VN if you give it a chance.

  9. Har, i thought Saya no Uta already fully translated?

Since i play thought the game, and did even see a part that yet been translate:confused:

Yes, Saya no Uta has already been fully translated but the makers of the patch sold it to JAST and they take a while to release the patches even if they're completely finished with. The patch you download from Erogedownload contains the 100% patch.

  10. Yeah, now that I look back at it... I take back what i said about the routes getting progressively better. I remember being pretty bored with Kanons route... the whole skating thing really didn't do much for me. Her good ending wasn't emotional at all. I think all the routes except Usami's route are more of a "what if route".

  11. Haru's route was indeed the best. I barely remember the other routes but I remember Haru's route very well. In my opinion, the routes get progressively better as you move from route to route because you get to see more of the storyline and it has a much bigger impact, which is sort of the reason why Usami's route is badass.

  12. Lol what a coincidence.... just finished Muv Luv Alternative as well :) I probably spent 100+ hours on Muv luv Extra + Unlimited + Alternative. Alternative was just great. I was a bit disappointed with the ending but i didn't think it was terrible. The production was just outstanding.... things like the characters mouths moving while speaking, the atmosphere of the entire VN... it was fantastic. Still gets a 10 out of 10 in my book.

  13. Thanks for the link, I've been wondering how everyone was finding out about the progress of game translations.

No problem. Alternatively, you can also go to The Visual Novel Database and search for a particular visual novel and they'll let you know what languages the VN is available in or if its being translated. You can click on the English patch and check the status on their website. If you don't see a English patch that means they don't have the VN available in English.

  14. Im in the middle of ME3 right now but from what i've heard from pretty much everyone is to stop the game when you see a white platform raising up lol. I'm not even sure i should finish this game.. i definitely don't want a bad ending ruining the entire trilogy. Also, the journals absolutely suck in this game. You literally have no clue about what item you got and for which missions.. they don't update like ME1 or ME2 did. Lastly, i know some of the side missions are "timed" story wise. I accidentally got locked out of a couple of side missions because I did a priority mission instead. Will i still be able to get the "good" ending without playing multiplayer?
