What exactly makes this game worth waiting for? The description makes it sound like the story is going to be an absolute clusterfuck in which ill have no idea wtf is going on. It does not inspire any desire to play this one. -
If there is sex (and i assume there is) its not before the first boss. So far this is pretty good action combat. The jump wasnt useful yet and the counter is weird. The normal enemies do not attack often enough to use it and the first boss is not really set up to stay close for too long. What i would complain about are the invisible invisible walls in the boss fight and the hitbox of his charge attack. I would also like some sort of feedback if i get hit. You just lose hp, thats it. No sound or anything. Is also weird how the game uses sort of 2.5D but the attack that knock enemies in the air seem to knock the weirdly "north" while your downward flamesword attack does not move you closer to the floor. This means you cant really follow up on airborne attacks. It also leads to a weird behavior: The homing stalagmite attack from the boss is almost impossible to dodge if you run north but trivial in the other 3 directions.

I dont deal well with overly dramatic stories. The only 3 "non-fluff" VNs ive read were the original Bible black (pretty good), Saya no Uta (extremely boring, had it been longer i wouldnt have finished) and Sakura no Mori Dreamers (did not finish; quit ~2/3 trough; not because of the gore). Which of these 3 would you say comes closest? I did not read the spoiler.

This game has the most arkward controls ive ever seen. Promps are for a controler. The movement keys are locked to wasd with no rebind options. And there is a noticeable delay between clicking the mouse and the attack coming out.

Somehow the screenshots are at odds with the description. Is this supposed to be a darker story or a comedy?

You dont have to play the second one if you dont like it, but asking for a skip is not nice. But i wont be playing these here anyway. I have this series on standby on my harddrive in jap to use as pratice soon.

Sounds like the second game is exactly the same as the first one. Any recommendation as to which is better if i only want to do one?

Half of these questions dont even get answered properly. And call me what you want. I was able to predict what the inside of the Pillar would look like well in advance. For the rest there was far too little information given to make anything but vague guesses. Its not like the story isnt interesting. But its not some mindblowing revelation of storytelling. At some point i was hoping Fia to be some form of a old artificial god. But that doesnt work in the context of the universe Eushully has created with these games. That would throw the entire worldbuilding out the window. My Wind never got high enough in level to get to these skills. Only reason she even made it to 40 is the consistent amount of XP given by healing. And with that shes 10 levels above the other 5 summons. I dont see any reason to use them when i can have Ior, Kishnir or Mikshuana run around the map oneshotting all but the biggest enemies. Or Lish tanking a whole room full while whitling them down on the counterattack. With Roseline standing behind her blasting away. But overall i was quite disappointed by the casters in this one. They have too little range, especialy on the AoE spells.

I have the music disabled. I could not stand it getting quiet everytime someone talked. I only played Himegari for an hour because at the time that was the limit of the translation. The big problem with the Elementals in Kamidori was their low statcap which made them useless past the first half. But that problem is in Amayui too. All 4 of them are crap. The stone one is only good for early game mining but even that is done with a single mining bracelet. Wind is the first flying unit. That has some use. And a healer is always ok. Its just a shame that spaming potions makes the healers nearly useless. The water one has edgecase uses on some maps because of the long range spell. And Fire is completely useless for anything. Its incredible just how hard the 2 ghosts, which are themselfes mediocre for actual combat, shit all over the 4 spirits in term of usefulness. What im not seeing is Mystery. Mystery needs something to brood over. This game throws the entire story in your face in the last 2 chapters. Aside from the introduction you get no real knowledge about the main storyline at any point inbetween. Compared to that all 3 of Kamidoris stories are more interesting. Even Emelita's which gets largely spoiled before you even play it. You are correct about Kami no Rhapsoy. It sucks. Really hard. Story, battles, scenes. Its a complete mess that i dropped in chapter 4 after about 20 hours. Never have i seen such a poor display of a main character.

That is interesting. Can you elaborate why? I have not played more than an hour of Himegari so i cant compare much but i would say Kamidori does most things better than Amayui.
