I also just finished Muv Luv Extra/Unlimited last week and started on Alternative a couple of days ago to keep the momentum going. I am asking this here cause I'm afraid of reading spoilers; how many "episodes" are in Alternative? I am currently on 5 so thought I was half-way done (Unlimited has 12 I think). I honestly thought I was almost done with the game after a certain event but then a "filler" popped up -_-. I'm hoping to finish this before Friday when RL takes over. Galaxy Angel -> Blowing up aliens and dating, how can you go wrong with that . Though GA does involve space-sim gameplay, it's still considered a VN.

I'm seeing a lot of similiar VNs in the list here so will type in a few games which are... Different. Monster Girl Quest -> I think the final chapter will be released in 3-4 months, translation 3-4 months after that. You will have to play this one to see why it is different. First two chapters already fully translated. The translation is also very accurate. God Catching Alchemy Meister -> Light-hearted VN-RPG. I take back what I typed about Mare's route. Finished it last night and it didn't turn out to be that bad.

Just played through Yume, Mokomoko erm Komomo, and 1/3 of Mare's route. The Japanese contained in this game isn't that high in difficulty, quite simple actually. A junior high schooler, or even someone in primary (I mean a local) would have no issues with this. Someone who has passed 2級 of 日本語能力試験 would have absolutely no problems going through this game. I haven't touched the language in almost 4 years and was able to go through it smoothly with a handy dictionary.
