If the fix doesn't work on 7, then I've got an XP computer that I can install to (which is also running JP locale, but NOT JP Applocale. I've stopped using applocale many years back because of the problems it was causing).

You might want to re-read my initial post to figure out what I was using. Here's a hint: Nowhere in there did I say applocale.

Makes me wonder why that was posted as a fix when it clearly DOES NOT WORK.

Bumping due to lack of response. The fix provided in the thread starter doesn't work. Setting text speed to max doesn't fix the issue.

Got this text problem even after setting message speed to its maximum. http://puu.sh/2Aop3 Win7, JP locale, Admin. The text only appears after I double-right-click to quickly hide/unhide text box or do a quick double alt+tab, and I have to do that EVERY TIME I ADVANCE THE TEXT. Meanwhile the commentary text in the in-game option menu displays properly, as seen in the below image http://puu.sh/2Aora
