  1. Honorifics don't exist in the English language, so dropping them in translations is a sound decision. It is really awkward to see honorifics in english translated texts, and can be confusing to people who have no idea how they work at all. The most common ones like san/senpai/chan might not cause confusion to your average anime watcher but what about unusual ones? like dono, ue, tan, bo, shi etc. would you still want them in your translation? You have to localize some things to make it less awkward in the target language, the only way you will get the 'original experience' is by learning Japa
  2. you must be new here shitting on sekai is this forum favorite pastime, if doesn't happen at least once per day something is clearly wrong...
  3. Grisaia didn't benefit in way by being picked up by sekai. Like dio said, the first game already had a fan translation, and koestl was working on the later games even before the kickstarter was a thing. We would have all the games a lot faster if it stayed as a fan project...The only good thing out of this is that koestl and his team got paid, they really deserved. I don't think the medium as whole benefited that much from sekai actions either, they continue to flood steam with shitty sakura games and other bad oelvn, making life harder for other publishers that actually release good visual n
  4. That is okay...I haven't read meikyuu grand route yet because it ends in a cliffhanger, by the time I'm done with that the torrent should be out.
  5. Gotta tell you, actually is hard to believe. When I found out this mourning I thought that maybe I'm misreading again lol. Now is time to give sekai what they deserve and pirate the shit out of it...
  6. people aren't hammering them because they charge money...When you sell a game, your costumer expect that the damn thing they paid for will work and have the bare minimum quality standards. Sekai release broken games with awkward translations at best all the time. I don't know how they even dare to answer with this passive aggressive style when people complain. Shouldn't they be apologizing and promising to do better? ...
  7. here another 2: Hentaicore - Free download hentai manga, HCG, Doujinshi, hentai comic, Hentai anime, Comiket 84 VIVA HENTAI If he is on a level to read untranslated japanese games I don't think he will have any problem following the crack instructions...
  8. from the top of my memory you can download untranslated games sukebei nya, mikocon, anime sharing and girlcelly blog. I'm sure there are more sites just wait for someone else to suggest them.
  9. They must be learning from Bathesda...
  10. For now, no, but I'm sure someone will do a better patch Soon™.
  11. It looks like they are releasing the non censored version today as well...color me surprised. I wish they did this will all the games.
  12. you need to delete your save folder. I always hated games that didn't store their save files in the install directory...anyway i digress . the save files are hidden in your appdata folder go there and delete this folder: 449830
  13. Think about all those 12y/o french girls that read visual novels though! We must reach the wider audience!
  14. It is on technical work. Mangagamer generally doesn't release more than one game per month, so with a little bit of luck it will be next on schedule after Sorcery jokers. Twitter
  15. If you haven't downloaded the fan version might as well go for the official jast release. I tried the fan patch version right after it was released and it wasn't very good, It had missing h-scenes, and untranslated h-scenes. they probably fixed in a later patch but I'm not sure if ivan uploaded the update or not. The game doesn't have much strategy involved, you can pretty much beat even if you have no idea of what you are doing as long as you attack the weaker enemy first. If you want there is a option to make the game harder, you just have to attack the stronger enemies first, and when
  16. glad it did, a little tip for the future. If you manage to extract the game fine without errors from winrar/7zip etc the problem is not caused by corrupt files so there is no point in downloading the whole thing again.
  17. try reading this: https://erogegames.com/eroge-visual-novels/eroge-tech-support/858-school-days-hq-problems-35/
  18. Not that it makes any difference for the western public in general, since pretty much no one knows mandarin...
  19. People are mad because Nutaku promised that any censorship would be publicly disclosed and by the looks of it they went back on their word.
  20. We already know everything there is to know about 18+ version. There won't be one, this is moenovel we all talking about, get ready because those h-scenes won't be the only thing missing. If my heard had wing was censored pretty heavily, they cut out dirty jokes, kissing scenes and even rewrote almost entirely one heroine route because it was too lewd for 12y/o french girls. I hope someone pick up the game later too add back the censored parts.
  21. I know their reputation can't go any lower with the vn community in general, but releasing broken games all the time will damage their reputation with the steam crowd in the long run. all of that just to piss off the pirates...whatever, priorities!
  22. I don't think that will solve their piracy problem though , sure, you might annoy some pirates by giving them a unedited broken version but most of them won't go out of their way to buy the "fixed" version. All they are achieving here is frustrating a little bit the pirates. Also they sales must be incredible low, since we still don't have the uncensored patch of Chrono Clock.
  23. so the backers are going to be the guinea pigs doing the beta testing for SP? oh they joy...I guess they need to rewards "loyalty" somehow xD
