Program to extract CG and BGM from VN

My friend told me there's a program that can extract CG and BGM from VN. Is that true. Well if it's true can someone tell me the program name.

Some games have their CGs and/or BGMs unencrypted in separate folders (BGM or CG folders, in the game's installation directory). However, most have them encrypted or embedded to prevent them being used without permission. So to answer your question; yes, basically it's true, but it depends on the game's engine.

The kind of programs you are looking for are needed by translation projects to edit scripts or cg, so there should be some working for the engines of all the games that have been translated so far. You should ask on translations teams forums, or other translators forums; I think there are some on tlwiki...

If I knew how to extract CG from a VN and then reintegrate it back I would de-censor many many of the censored fantranslated games (since I'm a photoshop nut myself)

too bad I don't know how to do it and it's probably far more complicated than I expect..
