Selling two big titles for a price of one, with or without the fanpatch already existing, doesn't sound like a realistic thing to me either. But I like the sound of it. I can definitely see where Keyen is coming from. Still, I know MG totally ditched the fanTL and retranslated it from scratch so I dunno... we'll see, but I think I am more with Kai on this.

Be satisfied because if it were JAST or SP, it'd would have come out even later (with SP even worse - coming late + having tons of bugs and issues). MG is only strategizing here and releasing each Alicesoft title one at a time (I am betting Sengoku Rance - December release). It's to keep the momentum going while the hype is still strong. They plan to keep it up like this till 2020 or 2021 when they finish Rance X. If they were to release everything in too close space of each other, then they'd canibalize their own sales and make people too tired of Rance too quick.

I didn't say it was a surprise. Actually, I was surprised by Rance X getting announced so soon. But overall, about Rance announcements, no, I wasn't surprised Btw, they announced 4 titles instead of 3... they got Rance X in the last minute (the CEO of Alicesoft came to the AX and they sealed the deal).

Okay, so it seems Makoto picked up an editing job at JAST too. The man is insane xD ... He literally works on everything then. But I know for a fact that they have other people working there too. I don't think Doddler wanted to imply that JAST has only one editor. That would be pretty insane. With so many projects, they need more staff.

Where did you get this info that they only have one editor? Makoto is a TLer, not an editor. He translated Saya no Uta (and Hanachirasu from what I remember).

It's waiting on official localization by Sekai. No, it's not a rumour. It's a fact (just look at who was working on the fanTL and you will see what I mean). The only question is whether Sekai will be able to negotiate a license with ALcot, considering JAST has some partnership with them.

Hopefully, that will happen sooner rather than later ... Their shit is overdue for some official release I didn't say I agree with Eushully's assessment. In fact, you'd see that many of these fanTLs and pirated releases only helped boost the popularity for VNs. That's why we had even some successfull KSs like Sharin no Kuni, Muv Luv and some others. The last I heard about the Eushully matter was that they ask too much for the licenses and... they also think piracy is too widespread in the west. They think even the JP side might pirate the English releases for the uncensored art, which is just another concern for them.
