Finished the trial but I am wondering, The character sprites in the vn portion of it never seam to change is that just the trial or will it be like that the whole game.

Can't answer the first question but the other two, I believe there is a 100 turn limit for the national chapter. Hard Mode can be unlocked by going to the roof of the school after beating the game once (Not 100% sure). Hope this helps in someway.
